You want the seller and date of acquisition in table 2 to match your acquisition notification. Just to be crystal clear - the Savage (with the correct serial number) already appears on the back of the photo page (page 1) as printed (not written) when the police issued the certificate - there is no transaction date associated with that. It just lists the maker, type, serial, calibre etc. D

Well to be fair the Escort was literally like new with all the bits you'd get new (chokes, stock shims etc) so easily worth c£200+ - when I sold the Savage it was similar price so fair swap but I'm happy with the Savage. He did mention that the Savage feeds fine when parallel to the ground or pointing downwards but sometimes doesnt feed cleanly when in a "high bird" position - has anyone else seen that happen -know how to deal with that issue? Flying pig
Just bought a new mossberg 590 took it to the clay ground a few times to get used to it as its my first pumper shoots well so I tried the pigeons today an got 47 👍 my only concern beforehand was the lack of choke !!! did get the odd strange look at the clay but I’m seriously enjoying this gun
Sco77w
Here's a little update of my pump family with the recent addition of the Mossberg 500. I had one before with the shorter mag tube and sold it as I much prefer the 870 to the Mossberg but no collection would be complete without one. This is a section 2 and I've still to shoot it. Can't wait to get out with it. Edited July 18, 2021 by Sco77w
PaulN
Hi everyone. I'm looking for a basic (OK ..... cheap) 20 gauge pump. Does anyone have experience or views on the Hatsan Fieldhunter? I've had Mossbergs in the past and am looking for something a bit different for some pigeon shooting.
stevethejeep
Morning Gents, Following the tragic events in Plymouth recently, I so do hope that there is no 'knee-jerk' legislative reaction against pump action firearms such as we saw following the awful murders in Hungerford and Dunblane. a while ago. I lost rifles as a result of the former and pistols the latter. However it seems that in this case the licencing authority reissued/returned the perpetrator's certificate recently, having withdrawn it for an unknown reason. Whilst condolences to those affected by this awful event, lets hope that cooler heads prevail legislatively this time.

Truth to tell pump action shotguns would be an easy "target" to ban (unlike self-loading shotguns) and, indeed, are also banned in France yet though self-loading shotguns also are not banned. Need to do some fact checking regarding France and the availability of Pumps. They are avail both categories of C and B1 if your after some really short barrels etc.

snarepeg
Having had Remington 870s all my life, I have acquired a Winchester model 12 in 12 guage. its a blast from the past with the corn cob shuttle, made in 64, probably a USAAF Import and works a treat. happy pumpers day all 😊👍🇬🇧

CPPS
Evening chaps, I'm looking to change the magazine tube on my Baikal mp 133 (rem 870 clone?) from the crimped 2 shot to one with a higher capacity. I've got the slot on my FAC for it and I've checked with BASC legally it's not a problem but I'm struggling to find a replacement magazine. If anyone knows anywhere or knows a good place to look it would be appreciated. Cheers!

Dickiebig
Picked up a Mossberg 500 with wood furniture. Been taking it up my local clay ground, just about managing to get back into the swing of pumping. Previous pumps included an 870 Express and a BPS

Several places online do custom springs. You will need to measure coil diameter, thickness etc. You could always order a couple of coils overlength to play with tension etc. High tension teflon coated springs are available in the US. I did the 4hr drive and I and picked it up that’s how much I missed it 😂.Being the police model it’s a very rare model in the uk and the wood on it is the best I’ve seen. It also has a barrel over 24inch to comply with the law as the original length would of been 20inch.It was on my fac but I recently had it crimped and put on my sgc it’s definitely a keeper. Mine is a 1980 Police/Wingmaster model as confirmed by Remington with the serial number, however some kind person has put woodwork on made from a Walnut Crotch apparently. Do you know the difference between the Police model back then compared to a Wingmaster please ?
Scrumbag
That's very nice! When Remington could still make a gun, too.
