Hi Frenchie,

We do not know one another, however I feel for you and your wife at this time.

I would like to add my best wishes for your wifes speedy recovery and hope you both find strength from all the heartfelt thoughts expressed by PW members.

God bless.

Franchi. I hope your visit to the wife was a good one this afternoon and I genuinely hope she makes a fast and full recovery.

But mate leave that whiskey alone tonight as that ain't ever gonna help you in that quantity.

Once again though the Pw members show there colours of being a good bunch.

Best wishes to you both

Frenchie, being a lapsed Catholic, I still have a direct line to upstairs, storming heaven for you with prayers right now.

Never met or spoken but thoughts and prayers are with you. Glad to hear your wife has come through.

Once again thank you all for your support and words of comfort, they mean so much to the both of us.

I have just got back from my second visit to Marlene today and I've polished off a plate of chicken and chips - I feel so much better for them!

The specialist says that Marlene is going to need an op to do something about a damaged valve in her heart but after seeing just how caring the staff on the Cardiac Care Ward are I have full confidence in them and their abilities!

Marlene is still having a bit of trouble breathing, they say that this is because the membrane round her heart is inflamed and will take a few days to settle down again. It is quite distressing to see her suffering the way she is but they are doing everything that they possible can to make and keep her comfortable. Having said that she is more able to sit up and laugh and joke with the staff now, which is wonderful to see.

I'm going to try to get a bit of an early night tonight as I feel totally washed out so once again thank you all so very much from both Me and from Marlene!
