Fuddster
Evening all, As per title, I see you can get trigger upgrades from south shooters for about £15. Just wondered if anybody on here has done it and how the found the improvement. I'm basically happy but feel the trigger could have a more definite release point. Cheers all Fuddster

mick miller
I wouldn't, it's really, really dangerous and complicated. Besides, after 8000 shots it will bed in of it's own accord. Mind you, the three I've done thus far seem to work perfectly and are much improved.

Les*1066
The basic trigger job on a CZ involves driving a pin out, replacing a spring, and putting the pin back in. After that, you need to make sure that you can cock the bolt WITH NO MAGAZINE IN AND WITH THE RIFLE PROVEN CLEAR and operate the safety several times, as well as doing a bump test to make sure the trigger is not too sensitive. If the rifle 'fires' during the safety/bump test, you need to use a stronger spring. It sounds more complicated than it really is, but it is essential to make sure that the rifle is safe to use after performing any type of work on it. jimmyb79
I did my 452 .22 with a YoDave kit and the assistance of a YouTube video on the subject. 30-45min job first time. Only tools required are a punch and a hammer to knock the pins out. Dead easy but you do need to check it's not too light a sales says. Did the same job on my hmr when I got it and those kits are fantastic.
steve_b_wales
I changed just one spring on my CZ452 and it made a world of difference.

Mini Magnum
I replaced my HMR spring using a yodave spring, I used the second lightest spring and when doing a bump check on the garage concrete floor, after a few dunts on the rifle butt it fires, maybe not first time but after a couple of bumps on the rubber pad. If I put a stronger spring in , seems I've wasted time with the trigger kit. Maybe I'll try adjusting the spring nut, failing that reinstate the original spring. Beardo
Mini - did your kit come with the little brass shim tubes as well? did you install one?
Dekers
Done it on my 452 used an Eric Brooks kit and is now sweet as a nut. I very possibly had about the first CZ 452 HMR Silhouette sold in the country, got it at about 10.00 am as it literally came off the delivery to SGC, out of the first shipment to hit our shores...trigger was awful.........Brooks immediately, GREAT, and an easy job.....plenty of vids on line to show step by step. Penfolio
I use the Rimfire Magic kit on both my .22LR and .17HMR and, saw an immediate and, obvious improvement in the trigger feel on both. The factory triggers were far too heavy and, the .17 trigger had a little creep in it. Both issues were resolved for a bargain price and, the kits are a doddle to fit.
