wildrover77
Have to boast just been involved in a high speed persuit after my neighbours hen was kidnapped/ stolen. On the phone to the police the whole time. A BMW with Blues and twos took over after the three lads stopped there vehicle and tried to frighten me off. one hen recovered the lads have been arrested, the car was uninsured. is there any requirement for a private detective agency specialising in poultry kidnapping? wildrover77
Yorkshire wolds. Was a bit worried about calling the police over a single hen but they treated it like the Italian job. The two that took my statement said it emptied the control room. The traffic team were about 5 minutes behind me but had caught up with them in about another 5 minutes, reckon they passed me about 120. They took a seriously and weren't just on a jolly, I had told them when on the phone they looked like gypseys, they said it would not be just a hen theft that they would be guilty off. STOTTO
I bet the initial theft put your neighbour in a fowl mood but I see that you were the ‘man of the moment’ and quite unflappable and that the criminals are now cooped up! Hero yes with feathers unruffled. Well done.

KFC
I'm surprised they didn't send out the RAC when you told them the big hen's gone Well done Did they get stuffed in the police van? NickS
It is good to see that the police took it seriously, despite all the bad jokes on here It is by ignoring what some may regard as the petty things that people's lives are made miserable. I cannot remember which Home Secretary it was (Jack Straw?) who tried to ensure that these sorts of crime were dealt with promptly for that very reason. People are more hacked off and worn down by constant vandalism, theft of garden gnomes etc than they are by a gang nicking £20m from a bank.
