fenboy
You may be aware Motty and Muncher spend a bit of time shooting the ouse washes . What you might not know is they have another passion for traditional fen dancing and formed a dance troupe called the ouse wash molly dancers. This is a short film of them in action Motty is the one in the fetching red skirt while muncher is wearing the trousers and multi coloured waist coat. I think its great that they are keeping these traditions alive , they did ask me to join them but frankly I have two left feet and would not do them justice. JDog
Whether it was the M and Ms or not the troupe was well rehearsed. As the original Fenboy I suggest that you join them as they appeared to be a man short.

photon
Most excellent! Well done to those involved in keeping traditions alive. Here in Rochester we have the Dickens festival and the Sweeps festival, out of the 2 i prefer the sweeps, more fun and raw and they scare the kids. fenboy
I have saved this on the lap top and might well play it on the 30th during the shoot break........ TEH Motty will hate that , he is quite shy about it , I think thats half the reason he blacks his face so he will not get recognized. If you really want to wind him up every time he misses walk up and whisper "Fenboy would have nailed that one " in his ear
figgy
Aparrently it's an easy dance for them with webbed seven toed feet, another point is they always have their hands clenched so folk can't count how many extra fingers they have and know which Village/family they hail. fenboy
Well i never, motty didnt seem at all "like that" when i had a morning flight with him. Your lucky , I have been in a hide with him when he starts doing a little practice jig , its very distracting , funnily enough he only does it if i am shooting more than him Edited December 27, 2014 by fenboy
motty
You nasty ***! I would Never take part in anything like that, unless forced. It brings back some bad memories from Primary school, though.
fenboy
No need to be shy about it mate , I would not have brought it up if I knew you wanted it to be a secret. I think its great you have a interest outside of shooting even if it does mean dressing up and making a fool of yourself
ditchman
as JDog is moving to lincolnshire.........i think he is looking for a hobby..........!!.....maybe ...just maybe..
JDog
I would be up for it as long as the real Motty and Muncher stepped forward. To my mind it would be preferable to taking part in the Norfolk v Lincolnshire clay shoot.
