I have seen it and he shoots very well but why can't he be more modest about it?

I agree Dave can be a bit 'cocksure' and having seeing him shoot in real life there is no doubt the man can shoot.

I have yet to see or hear of him shooting pigeons off a flightline with 6 or 7 shot cartridges.

I posted the vid purely for viewing pleasure.

Happy new year JDog.

You and I can rest assured that we both shot more pigeons flight lining in 2014 that Dave Carrie did.

Happy New Year. I am sure we will catch up again in the spring.

I was on a shoot a few years back and he was the only one there using 42 gram #4s through a trap gun for normal run of the mill birds. But like you say aga man he can shoot

good vid

He is a great shot; like the Digweed of game shooting, it's hard to be modest when you're that good. Shooting is bound to get boring when you're that good lol.

no comparison there, shot duck with GD and he had using a o/u and a 3 shot semi 5 duck dead in the air at least 4 times during the flight! Also saw him shoot 30-40 yard pheasants off the hip ( 5 birds without missing )! Not saying Dave Carrie can't shoot, but put him in the hide with Stevo, that'll show him ! :)

I would have thought any decent shoot would ask the gun to leave if they were attempting to shoot birds off the hip , very disrespectful of the quarry if you ask me.

All this respect for your quarry clap trap. If the man had five dead in the air and nailed pheasants from the hip and shoots them clean how much more respect can he give than a clean kill. If he is only wounding them show boating different matter.

So he was not show boating by shooting them from the hip ? was he not saying "look at me everybody" "what a great shot I am "

I am amazed you would think its ok to behave in such a way , the time for show boating is on the clays not on live quarry.

It seems to go with the territory as a rule the whole self congratulation thing when people are so good at things.

Every video I've seen with Digweed in he feels the need to praise himself in one way or another, looking round at the camera shouting 'look at that' or 'did you get that' etc....but he's so good at what he does and must get so much praise from every tom **** and harry it's not hard to believe he's got so big headed!

That Dave Carrie guy seems along the same lines but wouldn't say he's in the same league as Digweed!!

I love these films by Jonathan McGee, just filled with good detail, good photography and good shooting. Have seen a few of his involving Dave Carrie, and whatever you think of the man, he can certainly shoot.

Just a tiny tad disappointed and very surprised to see that a man with all his wealth of experience still doesn't know how to put a gun in or out of its slip without pointing it at someone.

Excellent vid', thanks for posting.
