tonker
Some months ago I decided to adapt an aluminium box to keep all my bolts in, in a different safe to where I keep all my ammunition. So now I have Shotguns in one cabinet, rifles in another. ammunition in a safe and bolts and cartridges in another. I always used to keep the bolts in the rifles, but thought I'd be ultra security minded and split them all up, Last night I went out after some fox's with the night vision, packed all the gear and checked it through and off I set. drove 45 mins and arrived at the first farm. Started to set the nv up and realised. No bolt, turned round and drove home again. Sulking and in a mood, trouble is that's the second time I've done that now, you'd think I'd learn. must be an age thing. Anyway just thought I'd pass on my muppetry to you all, if you can't take it don't dish it. Edited October 3, 2015 by tonker

Imperfection
I got to Bisley once and discovered i'd left the bolt to my Enfield at home. Now i leave bolts in all the various rifles...
achosenman
I never remove the bolts unless cleaning. Seems fairly pointless to me. If they have the safe keys, they probably have the rest. If they don't and have had time to break into the safe, they wont be stopping at just the one. Atb

wymberley
Thread title is a fair assessment. Sadly, I share it. All my decoying kit is in the garage except for the rotary speed control unit and remote switch. Now twice and counting.

Then you just need to remember the fishing tackle to use up the maggots.
