Smokersmith
Some of you may enjoy this ... The first was coming backwind, and I didn't fancy swinging my 39" barrel to get on it, so decided to take it out in front. In the second clip, the skein were crabbing left to right, but wind was behind them and pushing them straight over me ... just time for one measured shot on the second bird in the skein. https://youtu.be/kHCVFs8Pc1M

Smokersmith
Many thanks for the comments folks ... The 8 is nothing to look at, which is good news as it can get covered in cr*p sometimes. I was using ITM 3's in the 1st one, BBB steel in the second. My father started me shooting when I was 11, and even though he can't get about now like I can, it's great to be able to share with him what I get up to .... and show our guests on bonfire night where the Goose Chilli meat was sourced ! Big Al
Lovely to see classic fowling 8s still in use. Two very high birds. Great shooting.

You could not have been using steel on that second goose surely , I mean it's rubbish and just will not kill anything cleanly over 6.3 yards Edited November 28, 2015 by fenboy

Farma Geddon
I have to ask what dont you or the committee like ? is it steel ?Simply because he posted a video of himself shooting a couple of birds on "their" marsh and they don't like it , for no valid reason except their Big Brother attitude.Instead of just ringing the bloke up and have a gentle word in his shell, like most decent clubs would. Instead of just ringing the bloke up and have a gentle word in his shell, like most decent clubs would. Most decent clubs are not stuck in the dark ages , there is little wonder one or two people that shoot in it say there is a unfriendly atmosphere on there and they feel like they are treading on egg shells. Its a shame Houseboat feels the need to trawl the forum looking for people breaking their antiquated rules -------- I guess that's me black balled , not that I care , clearly not all dinosaurs are dead. Farma Geddon
Shame that the footage has been removed from You Tube now.I understand that it is written in their rules that films and videos are not allowed to be published .If this is the case , then they surely have the right to chastise , even though we may not like it. I do hope they are lenient.
