Flashman
Grew up watching the Two Ronnies and good viewing for the time. Let's be honest - the shows are still great viewing compared to the current dross on telly. My favourite is a toss up between "The worm that turned," "The phantom raspberry blower of old London town" and "Charlie Farley and Piggy Malone." All classics. sako751sg
Let's be honest - the shows are still great viewing compared to the current dross on telly. My favourite is a toss up between "The worm that turned," "The phantom raspberry blower of old London town" and "Charlie Farley and Piggy Malone." All classics. Phantom raspberry blower beats all imo. I remember the music was a wee bit sinister for and if i remember it was pretty scary to start with. Was very young so thats my excuse. Another one i remember being stupidly scared about was The Ripping Yarns,The Curse Of The Claw! Edited March 31, 2016 by sako751sg
the enigma
Very sad to see another one of British comedy greats pass on. There was something special about the comedy from that era, silly enough for kids to watch, but with hint of innuendo for the grown ups. He will be greatly missed. rodp
Good bloke, will be missed. Where's the new ones to take over ? There don't seem to be any of that calibre any more ? If we've got to resort to the likes of Ant and Dec then it's time to chuck the telly out, there's just no up and coming young uns nowadays. Scully
Was a favourite in our house when all the family would sit down to watch the Two Ronnies. So many of my childhood favourites seem to be disappearing on an ever increasing occurrence. He had a good life and made millions happy. Nice man. Mark74
Watching all the tributes today reminds me how funny the Two Ronnies were & still are to this day. No bad language just very clever humour many times based on word play. A sad thing about getting older is losing all childhood favourites. RIP Ronnie C, thank you for the many hours of laughter you & Ronnie B gave to millions, and I'm sure will be by many in the future too. A funny gentleman & a funny gentle man Edited March 31, 2016 by Mark74
