still remain for me, the economic reality of whats occured will be absolutley shocking with severe consequences over the next 2 / 5 years, we will never recover from this and the domino effect, the country's (England & Wales) future has been decided by a bunch of Jeremy Kyle contestants, investment will dry up Scotland & NI will move back to the EU and England & wales will wither on the vine whilst this mess is sorted when its finished we will be an also ran

So now I am a Jeremy Kyle contestant - What ever that is it doesn't sound very complimentary.

I am also a racist and a nutter according to other comments on these pages.

Up to then I thought I was a retired professional man who spends all his spare time working for the Royal British Legion and Macmillan charities.

Pillar of local society I was called at a recent parish council meeting too.

Ah well, I expect you know best.

By the way, you lost - accept that this is a democracy and get over it.

We'll go on and prosper like we have many times before.

IN,

The cost of the changes and knock on effect will take a decade to fully play out. The only winners in this game will be the lawyers who will be on fat FAT bonuses for years to come now sorting out all this mess from the EU who will milk it for maximum political value (partly to put other countries off taking the same route as us). Our presence on the world stage will be diminished in economic terms. The UK may well break up leaving Wales and England alone, whilst "the majority of English" will stand proud the rest of the world will either laugh or not care one hoot about us.

Taking back a degree of immigration control within the current EU rules will mean we will be out of the single market. Inward investment (we are currently 2nd in the world) will fall which will mean less tax paid here and less money into treasury so less money to spend on all the things we want like a good NHS.

The savings from not paying into the EU will not impact our essential services to the levels required and more costs will be cut. The NHS will buy cheaper equipment and machines from China which will further diminish the research base in the UK and the supply-chains in manufacturing that feed quality kit into the NHS and export sales.

Our research base will contract with less funding and our education system will further decline with a knock on effect on our attractiveness to the worlds best people (who all pay taxes here).

To top it off we might get yet another self seeking PM who will make decisions for us that will serve him well but damage the country overall.

Will our fishermen get "their fish" back? many agreements we have are outside the EU and will cost a fortune to pay off those contracts.

Do we have a chance of a strong government to lead us out of this crisis and back onto a world stage for some sustained period (including economically) - highly unlikely.

We have few natural resources of much value to take advantage of. Can we sell rain, racism and ruin?

As other countries progress, even if we "stand still" in reality we will go backwards.

I might just be off my rocker and all will be rosy, only time will tell and none of us know how bad things will get before, if ever, they get better. What are the bookies offering on when we will get back to growth?

Im being honest with you now not having a cheap shot at you nothing like that, but if i felt like you obviously do about us leaving the EU. Just leave go to France or Spain or another country altogethder.

If we had not voted out we were dead set on migrating to BC.. Canada.

It would have been a lot of work and time to sort out but we would have been ok in the long run, But now with the possibility Great Britain might just get back on track again, we put it on hold for a few years. And are just having a holiday over there for a month now.

You are clearly uneasy about your future here, and can not come to terms with the future so go get out we would have if the boot was on the other foot.

What i think is sad here, there are so many unhappy people who are drinking the Coolade from the disgruntled IN crowd , they have got while they believe this.

Sure we might have ups and downs for awile but its nothing different to what we have seen before, and eventualy we will be better off, its just keeping the faith, which sadly you and many like you have had sucked out of you .

good luck whatever you decide to do.

Out and quite frankly a re-vote seems like a backwards step for democracy, I'm possibly classed as a younger voter @23, but I have a good job, have paid my way since leaving school, have a 3 month old boy and plan to have afew more . Anyway I voted out for the long term, for my boy and for the country. I don't know what will happen in the future but I believe a Great Britain will emerge.

I also wonder if the vote swung the other way if the powers that be would even mutter the word re-vote. All we need now is a priminister who believes in Great Britain not a sheep that baaahhhhhsss along with the rest of the eu.

I think your being a little unfair with your 'ad hominem' ( love that phrase) approach to some one who just has a different opinion from you. A little tolerance goes a long way in this world. We have more in common than differences after all.

If their conduct is not compromising the democratc vote, then fine, but it is getting in the way of democracy, they should consider one of two options

SHUT UP AND LET THE BRITISH EXIT FROM THE EU TAKE ITS COURSE.

OR GET OUT OF HERE.

I at no point have sujested they in the remain camp should do something i was if the boot was on the other foot, not be prepared to do myself.

ID have shut up acepted the result.

And i would have filled in those untouchhed forms in the top left hand drawer, and have submitted them by now.

we were never asked if we wanted to join the EU and if we had been I would have voted No.

I voted leave and I've still voted leave because, as yet, nothing has changed.

As I've said before, the financiers want to make their killing first then stability will be restored because the gains they've made will depend on it.

As for political stability, well, fail to plan, plan to fail.

we were asked and I voted not to go in ,this time I voted leave and would do again !

OUT! It,s not a "best of three" referendum! If they could not win after all the help from the BBC, most other news channels, most of the Press, what makes them think that things would be different now? They even changed the rules mid-stream to try to keep us in.....remember the computer "crash" at 10-45 p.m. on the last day for people to register to vote? By rights, they should have just given 1 hour and 45 minutes the next day to make up the time....instead, they allowed 2 MORE days for it, all the time telling young people to register, as they knew the young would tend to vote Remain! It had the stink of corruption, yet we still won! During those 2 days, almost 2 million registered, so if they had done the job correctly, we would have won by an even larger majority!

I understand that Jeremy Corbyn , currently under pressure from his own MP,s, has said that he sees light at the end of the tunnel........................so he,s ordered more tunnel!
