Harnser
She was told in no uncertain terms that Scotland would not be able to join the EU because Scotland is part of the U.K. I suppose she will be pushing for another referendum to leave the UK . I just hope the good people of Scotland can see what she really is . An egotistic wannabe queen of Scotland . Harnser

TONY R
I kind of think this whole second referendum scotland in eu scotland independent us just not invoking article 50 etc type of thinking, is hitting objections every way they try, i dont thi nk its going to be that long before they just roll over and take it. At least thats what i am h[ping will happen. All this warped IN crowd scheming planning and winging has really soured what should have been a very happy time for our emerging country, And who knows if we all pull out weight how well will we do. Vince Green
As an independent nation,(even though the idea that it ever could be independent is laughable), Scotland would never qualify for EU membership. She is just looking to the EU, to fund their financial shortfall and I don't think Junkers is that stupid. Scotland is a very beautiful but very empty country, apart from tourism and a bit of whiskey and timber it has no income worth talking about. Don't be fooled by talk of the oil, its not their oil and it never was. The oil is running out in any case In short, an independent Scotland could never balance its books, not even close. She needs their money but they don't need her, its hardly a good bargaining position to be in. Also, in the new tougher post Brexit world I don't think Westminster is going to be giving her much help either. I'm not sure what motivates her but if she spent less time talking about this dream of independence and more time in the real world it would be better for Scotland. islandgun
personally think that SNP only got in last time because of a sympathy vote due to them losing the referendum, I suspect that anglo/scot relationship would improve with independence but wouldn't want to vote for sturgeon and cronies, I am looking forward to Britain moving forward now Edited June 29, 2016 by islandgun
JRDS
Every day that goes by makes me think she needn't worry, last Friday was an absolute joy for every patriotic who doesn't give a **** about the single market compared to democracy but every day that goes by I fear a total affront to democracy is coming. Its beautifull is Scotland but in a rugged sort of way,, This side of the border we have beautty just the same but more subtle, If it was not for the geese fishing and deer , i would not be bothering going there, they can keep their midges thats a fact. What really worries me for the future is i once heard a SNP person discuss developing on said land. His quote was it should be used for the many not the few. So quite happy to make the economy suffer to satisfy a few commie beliefs Edited June 30, 2016 by toontastic

Any scots on here want out by any chance and why exactly.? My aunt in Dumfries wants independence because when they had their referendum some campaigner in a kilt turned up on her doorstep and said they would double her pension. She believed it then and she still half believes it now Edited June 30, 2016 by Vince Green
the enigma
With you all the way on this. i was glad they stayed in but now it seems they still want out, or at least their government does. Any scots on here want out by any chance and why exactly.? Perhaps a vocal minority want out, and are using the current situation to further their own agenda. I'm sure that there many in Scotland who voted to remain in the EU, but who wouldn't necessarily want an independent Scotland in order to do so. If a second referendum on independence comes about, it should be made clear that the Scottish economy would not be subsidised by the rest of the UK.
