Guest stevo
Crows and rooks are not as tough as people make out. I've shot lots and lots with my .410 hush power pump and they died just as easy as they do with my 12 gauge. If you want a good 12 gauge shell save your money. Instead of buy big game loads just get yourself some RC 2 in 7.5 ( English 7 ) an ounce load really is the i bigest your going to need. As said any 28 gram clay shell in a 7.5 through a 3/4 or full choke will smash them. Out to 50 yards Edited March 23, 2017 by stevo

Stonepark
Gamebore white gold 28g 7.5 (2.4mm i.e. English No7) and half choke with tritium bead on semi auto.......... is my favourite. if they don't come down, it isn't the cartridges fault. I find that pattern knocks them down, moderate loads of big shot leave too many holes in the pattern for me.

johnnytheboy
Opt for shot size 5, if you are in not sure or have any doubt google crow skeleton, they have an outward breast bone that offers allot of protection
motty
I normally use an ounce of 7 or 7.5. Hit them in the middle of the pattern and they will drop dead.
rbrowning2
I normally use an ounce of 7 or 7.5. Hit them in the middle of the pattern and they will drop dead. This, but I would go for the 7 2.4mm unless shooting them very far out then 6.5 or 6 or 5. But why pay the premium price for pigeon cartridges when a 7 cart with suitable choke is all you need. Which is also true for decoyed pigeons. If going to larger than 7 shot then up the shot to say 30gm 6 or 32gm or more for even larger shot to keep the pattern but you will then have to pay a lot more. May be if the greedy cartridge manufactures found their sales falling for overpriced pigeon cartridges they would then be forced to reduce their prices to that of clay cartridge and in doing so to separate them from the game cartridges offer a 6.5 in 28gm. I have shot many a bird, partridge, woodcock, pigeon, crow, magpie over the years with 28gm 7 shot and 6.5 shot with stone dead results as previous posts my go to shot size is 6.5 but it seams to have lost popularity with the cartridge manufactures hence I load my own. H tomlin
Local Gunshop didn't have anything in 70mm that ticked the box so went for the fiocchi f3 game 67mm number 5 the crows didn't like it up um clean kills and nice to shoot ATB. Velocette
Its worth pricing the Fiocchi PL32 in 5 or 6 as I think they may be cheaper than the Game F3
