The sad thing in all this is that he will be remembered due to programs about his life.I think it should be a law that any serial killer should get no program/documentary coverage at all.How much tax payers money went to keep this scum in jail? What about all the books that have been written, not just about him but other serial killers, are the families of the lost ones getting any benefit from the sales of these or is some greedy author cashing in on someones grief?

Should bring back the death sentence for this scum.

Good riddance save the tax payer have to feed and look after that **** bagAny child killers should be automatically tortured for two days then executed in the most horrific way possible

That would have been good for us but he would have enjoyed it in his twisted mind. He had this idea that he was in control of the situation. It was much more effective to physically force feed him so that he wasn't in control. And that he wasn't going to be allowed to die and slip away unpunished. it wouldn't have been allowed but stuff like sleep deprivation, being cold, white noise, sudden impact noise, flashing lights interspaced with long silences, not knowing if it was night or day. Being held in a straight jacket and waterboarded frequently. Take all of his being in control away. Failing that just leave him in a cell in a straight jacket to slowly linger and painfully die. But we wouldn't have done that sort of thing because it takes us down to his level. Where did it all go wrong for him? Was it in his genes to be evil or was it a set of circumstances that triggered the set of incidences. Hittler, Pol pot, Stalin, idi amin, sadam hussain are the headliners but there are millions out there that have perpetrated horrific deeds to others. When you think back to olden days there were some really violent and hideous ways people were executed but none of it stopped wrong doing. Perhaps someone should have just blown his brains out immediately. Who knows. At the end of the day he has won to a degree because his name will be remembered for the evil that he was and we are on here writing about him. We aren't remembering the many good people who perished yesterday.

Best news that I have heard in years. Hope he didn't die peacefully in his sleep. But hoping it was a long, slow, and painful one.

One of the tabloids printed that he had emphysema so it would have been long slow and painful, just not long slow and painful enough

I totally agree. I was livid yesterday when I saw that BBC online had given him a full Obit. Totally wrong. Single headline only. Maybe a story about the victims and their families. Then let the sadistic %^&"%£ fade as quickly as possible into the history books where he belongs.

I have to say that I think for him keeping him in prison for the rest of his life is the best punishment but for the victim's friends and relatives I have to think that killing these people is best for them then they no that it is over for once and for good and there is no chance that he could be released as so many of these people are in the end.

Another thing that people like to say is that these nasty people should be killed very slowly the point is most of these bad people are psychopathic and so do not have the same feelings as you and me I think that killing someone even as nasty as him in a horrible way would mess up any normal persons mind thinking about things and doing things is a different thing.

Just been to the shops, front page news with his picture everywhere. He would have loved that I'm sure.

I personally think he shouldn't be mentioned after today, no news, no programmes, no experts opinions.

Just dead and forgotten. Preferably left in a ditch or on the moors to be eaten by crows.

i have always felt it such a shame that, during her last hours that someone could not have "lied" to Mrs Johnson and told her that Keith

had been found. What harm could it have done.

If they had turned him out up here I can guarantee he would have remembered very quickly

He will not be missed

hello, i can remember this back many years and quite a few other heinous crimes, i have just watched Little Boy Blue and cannot comprehend what it must be like for a parent to go through in loosing a child in this way, or for that matter any other, some crimes and those who perpetrate them i can say, bring back the death penalty.

Rendition >> the act of taking prisoners to another country in order to do things to them that would not be allowed in your own country, for example, torturing (= hurting) them in order to make them give you information

He would have been broken and given the information, and if it was wrong he would have been treated again and again and again until zero. The sound of footsteps would have been a terror for him. Still we can't do that sort of thing because it takes us down to his level.

Has anyone taken those body snffing spaniels up on the Moors to see if they could locate the bodies? They took them out to the channel islands and out to Portugal to look for Madelaine McCann? The bodies can't be that far away from the road where the others were found near some lay-by off of that road.

The line between justice and revenge is often blurred, but it's not one I've ever lost any sleep over.

+1

A thing that sticks in my mind from many years ago, is an interview with saville about Broadmoor.

He basically defends people like brady, because they are 'ill' ,they are not bad people he claims, they are just ill.

The fact they are in a secure mental hospital is the distinction.

This is not the interview I remember, but you get the general idea, it was obviously something he said often.

From around the minute mark if you can stomach it.

The distinguishing feature (apart from the involvement of a woman) was the level of sadism and complete lack of any remorse.

I always thought that keeping these creatures alive was to enable Doctors to study them and the possibility of uncovering more about their crimes and victims.

Are we made of our minds or our souls? Can someone be born evil or is it a manifestation of brain defect and or environment.

Brady's the odd one because IIRC he was adopted but not subject to an abusive upbringing and he was intelligent. If there was a case for 'plain old evil' then he fits it.

He was very intelligent and articulate also very manipulative.he was totally remorseless and if you didn't know who he was you could have liked him .

Write some more of that poetry, it's nice to wish if only.

Cadaver dogs. They're amazing, but they would still need either a start point or a structured search that would take years. I've been on a job with a team of them from Wales that were a charity, they got realistic expenses and gave their time for free. Top people.

I used to live on saddleworth moor and still have a house there..

I walk the dog on different areas up there from time to time, lovely area with a dark feeling sometimes..I've seen the police digging and scanning the ground loads of times..

I guess he will be taken away and buried privately..

I don't buy the mentally ill line, most mentally ill people are too depressed to even function, these people are pure evil from conception.

How does that work ?

You can say they are wired up wrong, but is that not a mental illness?

And before everyone jumps on me ,Im not sticking up for the creature, I think personally he got a perverse joy out of causing pain and mutilation, maybe some kind of power trip?

I think all can agree he wasnt 'right' in the head, but what exactly is 'evil'

Those of a religious mind, might liken it to be being influenced by evil/devil ,but what exactly is it,and can you be born with it?
