Mr gen
this might be interesting, in how it pans out and relates to other big cat stories
Benthejockey
There was one escaped recently down in Devon I think wasnt there. Took them forever to find it and recapture it. Are they covered by AOLQ 😜 and if they are does anyone know a decent taxidermist 😂 the conspiracy theorist in me thinks its very strange with the recent talk of rewilding that two Lynx have escaped in 12 months but then the real world me is thinking theyve probably got a work experience kid that left the gate open! chrisjpainter
what perplexes me is the line 'the animal went missing some time during the last five days' how do you not know when an animal isn't in its area? that's poor zoo practice. there should be daily checks done, not just for animal welfare issues but in case something escapes! Mice!
Went missing? That's a belter, maybe they left the door open 5 days ago and just got back from the sunshine somewhere??

rectifier
Im sure there was a topic recently about the lynx being released back into the UK at some point?. Maybe this will be the start of the re-relase if it doesn't come back? http://www.lynxuk.org
Strimmer
I used to be a keeper that neck of Wales and I gotta be honest and wonder why it took so long for something to escape. I appreciate Borth is a run down town but if you can't keep tabs on one of your star predator attractions you need your licence revoked. I'd be right pi#### off if I was a local farmer

tonker
Just read on a NSA (National Sheep Association) site that it had killed 7 sheep, showed a picture of them in a tractor bucket, true or not I don't know. loriusgarrulus
They should be able to tell if the sheep were killed by lynx or dogs by checking the bite marks. Do lynx go in for mass slaughter or is it more a canine thing.

The Govt. vets conclusion is the animals were killed by a Lynx or 'big cat'. But hey... they've just made it look like a Lynx attack

I doubt it, if it did it would take one and gorge on it, the fact they are sighting it at bait cage, suggests it isn't eating anything else....... No need to get defensive. And oh if the government have had it checked then it must be true..
