oldypigeonpopper
hello, i have seen a 4x4 about the vale with GUN 1 plate ?
TriBsa
Put it on and give thanks for having a missus that is supportive of your hobby. Your Defender is 100 times more likely to attract unwanted attention than a private number plate. Most of which of which you need to get the owner to explain the significance of. The shiny red Ferrari I once saw with BEG 4 1T on was another matter and would have attracted attention of the malicious kind.

Jason_ox
Dad has been going around for years and years with a large “KEEP SHOOTING” sticker in the back window. Never had a problem! Car must of done 100k miles with it. Bang it on.
wascal
You could always put an Arsenal sticker in the windows But that would almost guarantee damage

mick miller
I wouldn't worry about putting that plate on your Defender, if anyone does make the connection they're one of the most secure vehicles around, unlike some motors that can be opened with a flat head screwdriver for example. Dave-G
If it truly bothers you maybe ask the wife if she has realised it could lead to your house being targeted by nasty people who want to acquire the guns.
BrowningDJC
I know people with ‘gun’ number plates and never had an issue. All of my shooting friends display shooting related basc stickers and alike and again no issues. a good personal plate looks smart in my opinion. Mightymariner
My Defender has a personalised plate, also bought as a gift to me, but it's our initials not gun related....I quite like it but I wouldn't have bought it for myself.... deershooter
Why does every one run scared have you not eaten a pork pie 3 days after its best before date or made love without a condom ?
stuey
You could maybe go a bit more subtle. My sisters old car ended SXS (side by side), my friend used to have a plate ending HMR. I’m sure you could get something that people in the know would get. on separate note, I sometimes see a guy on the way to work who has W19EON! Dougy
Can't see the thrill really what personalized plates are all about, unless of course your in need of an EGO boost. If you really need the little attention paying to your vehicle ( well we all know its you that wants the attention really) as you park up somewhere or drive into town, have it covered in Tweed decals with a cravat tied round the aerial. And before the comment pops up, yes I could afford one. Edited February 18, 2018 by Dougy Comer
Perazzishot
I have HY12 Gun on retention not got round to putting in on a vehicle yet. If I change my HiLux this year it might go on that. I know lots of others from around the UK with GUN on the plate and to my knowledge no-one has had any bother. Scully
My nephews mates bought him one for his 21st a couple of years ago. It clearly states 'GUN'. If he's had any bother he's never mentioned it.
