SlimRick
I've had my cert for a grand total of 4 weeks, and in that time I've bought enough guns to fill my 3 gun cabinet. I need to ban myself from visiting online auction sites. Does gun buying stop, or do I need to wait until I run out of money?

SlimRick
Second pic is a Gorosabel Silver Deluxe - for the grand price of £37 from auction. Third pic is a 1920 T.Wilde which is currently in pieces. Bought as a gun to practice my woodworking skills on. (£50 from auction) 5 minutes ago, ips said: May mate it doesn't stop it's an addiction ? I'll let my wife know we're not going on holiday this year then...or possibly eating too. 243deer
no and yes to answer your 2 questions in order. I would always recommend at least an 8 gun cabinet to any newcomers - you know you will need it in the end. It also does not change size depending on your gun menagerie so swmbo does not spot the acquisitions.

Newbie to this
With regards to the misses, just do what I do. Start looking at ridiculously priced guns, make sure she knows your looking to buy, then after a few "I don't think so's" and "no chance's", make her think she has won when she agrees to you compromising by buying the half price gun, that you wanted anyway! . It's worked for me on more than one occasion, if I started with the lower priced gun I would still get the "no chance" and "I don’t think so" comments. I had my last new gun 6+ months in the cabinet and she didn’t know. In the end I just told her cos I found it so funny. Wingman
It does when you realise that despite owning 6 guns you only ever shoot 1 or 2. Well that’s my case anyway.
Scully
No. You can never have too many guns. ?

SlimRick
These were from the-saleroom.com Worth remembering that whichever auction you buy from on that site, you need to go and pick the gun up personally...I've almost fallen into a trap of driving from Wiltshire to West Glamorgan when I got carried away bidding. Farmboy91
Brilliant thank you, and yeah I know, think if I can find what I'm after I don't mind the drive, I'll tell the misses we're having a weekend away ?
steve d
I think its the licensing system that makes me buy so many shotguns, its too easy! If they were like firearms, requiring variation etc and all that nause, i wouldnt bother.
Dave at kelton
Wife is an easy fix just tell her they are an investment, works for me. Bank manager is more difficult as he just says No to the overdraft.

Whitester
I wish I hadn’t bothered with the 6 gun cabinet and skipped straight to the 10. the good thing about cabinets is that the missus can’t see inside them and whenever I come back from shooting she’s asleep so they go back I unseen too Edited February 23, 2018 by Whitester
