Gordon R
Anyone been watching Corbyn's performance in the House of Commons? He might have support from a bunch of activists, but his credentials as a potential Prime Minister were laid bare and found wanting. Heckled by his own side and then stabbed in the back by a bunch of Labour MPs who have suddenly re-discovered their voice. Entertaining stuff, with Theresa May milking every minute of it. sierra 11
Poor 'ol kiddie, he means well from within his red tinted fluffy world. He's a convenient wedge at the moment, keeping the door open. He'll be there until the Trotskists kick the door open from behind him and trample him into the carpet.. Vince Green
I keep saying this but I don't think people really take on board what I am saying. Corbyn was my MP for ten years and the man is totally and utterly bone idle. He can talk, he is actually quite a good speaker and he loves the sound of his own voice. But that's all he does. He has never lifted a finger to do anything positive, he is an old style protester, not a politician.

yod dropper
All very well and good but a lot of people who will vote for him and who believe in him and I mean really believe will neither see this performance nor care. Or think that he did a really good job. Pity the traditional Labour voters who can see through the man and his movement.

Generally a politician who does nothing is an not a bad thing; it's when they do do things that problems arise and things go wrong.
Vince Green
16 hours ago, samboy said: How do these muppets get into Parliament in the first place ?. They are shoe horned into safe seats. Candidates are selected by branch committees more or less behind closed doors. Its jobs for the boys, the party faithful look after their own. The outcome has already been decided before the process even starts. A lot of moderate Labour MPs should be very worried about their futures because the branches have been infiltrated (infected might be a better word) by Momentum who are systematically voting out the resident committee members. pinfireman
Virtually ALL Labour branches have now been infiltrated by Momentum activists....remember, these people have all the time in the world to carry out their fantasies....they never go to work, so clearly Benefit claimants....( a condition of receiving unemployment benefit is that you are actively seeking work!) Howling Hound
Can somebody please explain the love affair and apparent infatuation that Mr Corbyn and his left leaning associates still have with Russia. Has nobody explained that the socialist utopia that was the USSR has now gone. Russia is now a democratic capitalist society. It even has free and democratic elections where any member of its electorate can vote for any candidate on the ballot paper without fear or favour. Its leader Mr Putin, together with his friends and advisors are multi millionaires. By careful and shrewd investments Mr Putin has become probably the worlds richest man. He has done this in a very short timescale (since the fall of communism) which must make him the most successful business man in history, far outstripping the lefts bogie man Mr Trump. I would of thought if Mr Putin was British then he would be the first in Labours sights.

It's worrying just how facile political discourse has become in this country. If you want to know where Putin is coming from - why not listen to the man himself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4MAsIh3zMA in 2007, or again here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q13yzl6k6w0&t=283s in 2015. Sure, it takes a bit of effort to sit through major foreign affairs speeches ( they're not twitter soundbytes) but if you live in a democracy in which you elect your government it could be argued that it's a duty to actually learn something about the world in which that government is supposed to operate. Even if you're convinced that Russia is our sworn enemy, take a look at the links. Know your enemy as the saying goes. If you've only got your info from the BBC et al, why not see this demonic Svengali in action. Read the original book kind of style. You might find that they changed the plot a bit before they made the movie for you to watch.
