markm
Both the mrs and I are key workers with a commute. We both have 17 plates cars that are due an MOT in the next 2-3 weeks. (They were booked in but everywhere is now closed) Where do we stand legally on driving? Any suggestions, where to seek advice?
rovercoupe
Gov site says it's all fine for 3 months of no mot.
Centrepin
I would contact the DLVA or VOSA, no MOT means invalid tax and insurance. Quick edit, just read the post above. Something I didn't know. Edited March 23, 2020 by Centrepin

Hamster
Got a call from garage where wife’s 17 plate Mini was booked in for MOT tomorrow to be told a staff member had gone awol due to the virus so they can’t do ours tomorrow ! I called BMW where it’s booked in for 2nd TLC service (fingers crossed they don’t try to slime their way out of it being free) on the 26th and asked them to see if they can squeeze it in if there is a cancellation, wife works for the NHS so kinda really need a road legal car. Interesting times and problems.
B725
It says car mot during the lockdown is under review, I would imagine it will be similar to Lorrie's
Cawdor118
I wouldn't worry about it! No one in their right mind will "do someone" for a MOT in these testing times!
