Bobba
It started in lockdown but lingers on. The upside is that as we cannot travel it keeps us talking with friends and family abroad. Corfu, Singapore etc. And something to do when Sunday lunch is in the oven. I'm stuck for topics - old age !!! So ideas welcommed please. So far we've covered Horses, Games & Pastimes, The human body, Entertainment, Geography, science & Nature, Food & drink, modes of transport, Xmas, british Fauna, Fun facts, colours, pandemics, religion, general knowledge. Thanks.

chrisjpainter
Films. Sports stadia. tv/film theme tunes, dog breeds, mythical beasts. Literature - from Shakespeare and Dickens to JK Rowling and David Walliams Highest/tallest/fastest rounds are good. It's completely random, so it could be name the fastest train, then tallest mountain, deepest ocean etc. Nothing connects the answer other than they're the greatest of their category

Mary hinge, knickers etc. Sorry, can not use this one Ben. B-in-law in Corfu spends most of his time glued to his computer studying the GG's. 1 hour ago, chrisjpainter said: Highest/tallest/fastest rounds are good. Mrs B is taken by it so it's this one this week and one of the others when next it's our turn to choose. No worries. And if Mrs B is really mean she can mess with her victims a bit, so for example she could make the tallest mountain Mauna Kea (measured from base to summit) not Everest. Adds an element of vindictiveness, but also a chance to work questions out, not just knowing a fact!
Old Boggy
How about a Rebus quiz, that is a group of words meaning a well known phrase or saying, book, film etc such as :- 1. Carrier C Racing A Feral T Wood = Cat among the pigeons 2. Red Rum, Shergar - Aintree, Ascot, Newmarket, Cheltenham = Horses for (four)courses. 3. Mersey, Rotherhithe, Dartford or Blackwall - Light = There's light at the end of the tunnel. 4. Somewhere Rainbow = Somewhere over the rainbow. Plenty on t'internet or make up your own, as I did above. Just an idea. OB Edited August 27, 2020 by Old Boggy
