Harry Callahan
I've an ASE Utra. Very very good, but a pain to clean...
WalkedUp
I’ve got a SAK, cheap but if my ears aren’t deceiving me the bullet crack makes more noise than the muzzle. I’ve no issues at all with the SAK but as it is .22 bore must have some inefficiency. I would probably go for a calibre diameter specific centre fire rated moderator if I had the money to spare in all honesty. Some test results from Shooting Times .17HMR dBr: Whisper 23.3dB, SAK 26.9dB, SM11 28.6dB and LEI 27.5dB
beanieboy
I use a Wildcat Whisper in 17 HMR. Much better built than the SAK, but I'm not convinced the human ear can detect any significant difference between any of these mods.
theshootist
I have used a DM80 reflex mod and have now moved to the smallest one I can find - the stainless one made by LEI.
Dave-G
After burning out the alloy core of a SAK with a 15" HMR barrel I went to an ASE Utra which is all steel.

welshwarrior
Got a SAK Parker Hale and wildcat whisper I can’t tell the difference between the noise levels but the wildcat is a lot more expensive
mick miller
I actually have a DM80 that I'm not using. Could RFD it for a bargain price of £55 (I recollect paying over three times that when I bought it). Usual 1/2" thread type. They are good, very light, strippable etc.
