Hmm... I'd say that's from someone who hasn't the intelligence to grasp that 16.24 doesn't need PM after the 24 hour clock time.

That's a pretty good one tbh. Bet that has actually caught a few people out.

Scam I’d say, the grammar and or spelling isn’t quite as good as I would expect. 
Even their phone is out of order! 😂

You don't receive vehicle related PCNs through email or text message. They come through the post or are placed on the vehicle.

I put it up just in case. Some will pay it or worse no name no registration no location. Also who issues a fixed penalty for £12.24.

But its so little a amount, some wouldn't argue with it. These things work, people are stupid enough to fall for them.

I think a lot of these scams with spelling mistakes etc, aren't mistakes at all. They're put there deliberately.  If you're intelligent enough to notice them, you won't pay, and just right it off as a scam and forget them. While others...................

You will never recieve a PCN by email, they are always posted out to the registered keeper, and on the same vein the tax man will never contact you by email to give you a rebate or ask for money or you to call them, they will always write to you.

I got a real one from TFL. 

I had checked that my truck was ULEZ compliant and saved the confirmation on my phone.

A couple of moths later I got a PCN for £80 for driving in the ULEZ zone

I notified TFL that my vehicle was compliant according to their own website and sent them a screenshot of their own notice of compliance

They replied that

1  I had made up the notice to resemble theirs

2  My vehicle was 'no longer' compliant and that its emission levels were not recognised by TFL as it is an American vehicle (it exceeds California requirements for passenger cars)

3  If I did not pay then the charge would be doubled

I obviously paid the charge but also sent my V5 to DVLA with emissions evidence requesting that as it exceeds Euro 4 it should state that on the V5 (the ULEZ zone requires Euro 4 for petrol and Euro 6 for diesel)

This was 4 months ago, I still await the return of my V5 and hopefully a refund and apology from TFL (Totally ****** London)

Last one I got (variable speed on motorway 🤦‍♂️) was addressed to the registered keeper of my car, so me. Also told me what id done, where and at what time. Also came with a range of options to settle, so I went on the course. Nothing digital, good old envelope in the post.
