Pangolin
Bought a £50 AYA Yeoman and spent about £12 in materials to make this......... Stripped with Screwfix own brand varnish remover and a kitchen sponge. 400 grit paper. Bolgers Artisan Acrylic Wood Dye - Emerald Green. Blackfriars polyurethane gloss, couple of coats and sanding inbetween.

Mr.C
different it certainly is.... must admit I prefer the original but each to their own. If I put that down in a field I'd never find it again! Brace yourself there may be a little banter incoming... Exactly the words I was going to use 😂 @Pangolin good on you for giving it a go, I did my first one around a year or so a go now, used pretty much the same method and product as you, albeit with alkanet then Danish oil lol. With what you paid for it why not do something different. Looks very similar to Amber Hill's clay gun 😂👍 Edited November 23, 2020 by Farmboy91 Spelling
DUNKS
That's a first for me. Never seen a green gun before. Kindest thing I can think of is "It's different"

AVB
Personally I think it’s horrendous but guess what, that doesn’t matter as it’s your gun not mine.

It was a fun little project.
HW95J
Attempt to turn an AYA into a Greener?... 😂😂😂 Seriously though it's your gun, embrace the fact it's distinctive 👍
ShootingEgg
Think companies sell stocks like this for big money, synthetic ones etc, so for 62 happy days.
bruno22rf
And here's living proof that, with considerable effort, you can even devalue a gun that was worth nothing to start. Horrendous.

Half tempted to re-do my .410 folder in black and stick a can on the end, I'm never going to sell it because it's not worth it.

Why not, I've just bought a mossberg 20 hushpower that I'm dying to take out. Wont be painting that one though. 12 minutes ago, ShootingEgg said: Think companies sell stocks like this for big money, synthetic ones etc, so for 62 happy days. Tbh, I'm a big fan of the stock on the B525 SL

I'm starting to think a modded gun might come in handy for one of the places I shoot but don't want to go the whole hog and buy a new one 😂 although I would have a bretton and gaucher phantom if I could pick one up at the right price.
