With who kiar Starmer who can't or won't say if women can have a todger dosnt he understand biology? Rosena Allin_Khan who is claiming that Boris is only supporting Ukraine because they are white.

I would like someone who hates BJ just to put some credible name's out there instead of just saying Boris has to go.

It's obvious. Anyone but the Donkey even if it's without a party change. The election system is so messed up and skewed against progress that we rely upon swings of policy to get further up the road.

Does it matter what party you vote for they only look after themselves

Tory you might keep you fieldsports

Labour your going to loose it and who is going to vote a party where Diana Abbot would have a say im pretty easy going but that would even scare me

Any other party ????

I honestly think now theres a lot of lazy barstool no wanting a job or they could rise off the breadline but its easier to be cuddled up in a duvet till lunch time they dont even need to sign on now its all done online in our day you got your slot once a fortnight miss it no money for two weeks

Really!! WE need continuous change at the top to maintain some sense of progress. Labour for a time would help then back to Tory for a bit. One day we have to get a change in the voting system that allows for greater coalition or democracy must end.

It's about shifting the needle. Each side a reaction to the other so that we stay somewhere in the middle. If Tories are in power too long we lurch to the right and the back lash is left and so on and on and on and on.  Very inefficient use of resources.  We desperately need a social (not socialist) democratic system to even out the spread of wealth, health and education.

I think the tories got the memo on that one , and are most definitely NOT lurching to the right !

Theyve been in power for 12 years now , and if anything , theyve gone LEFT.

Yep exactly like the Tories.   First one way then the next.

Rwanda, Poverty, Food banks, Windrush, Hostile environment legislation, Grenfell that's a fair way to the right of any social democracy but maybe a tad to the left of Trump.

Years ago there were many more “Have nots” than there were “Haves and England was a good country to live in. But over the years many more of us have been able at one time or another to become a “Have” in one shape or form and each time someone becomes a “Have” they change. If they voted labour before they’ll change their allegiance to tory because that gives them the best chance of holding onto their “assets” and instead of the compassion and camaraderie that we used to have for each other, all we have now is “***k you Jack, I’m all right”.

As for this Panarama thread, I doubt many who have commented have even seen the programme and neither will they for the reasons I’ve laid out above. They’re happy so why worry?

Don’t misunderstand me, many “haves” have worked hard for what they have and maybe deserve it but does that mean they can’t spare a thought for people that are going without food today so their children can eat?

None of you are MPs yet you trot out any party line as if you were. Instead of rebelling against what’s going on, you’d rather come out with the same old ****, “labour would be a lot worse”, “it’s Covid”, It’s the Ukraine”, it’s this, it’s that. This government has been in power for many years and should have had this country sorted long ago. This is a bad government for the people in this country and all you “Haves” are making sure that things are going to get much worse before they get better.

In answer to a previous question, things will get better in election year because this government will have gorged themselves so full of cake, they’ll have enough cake in the coffers to be able to start giving some back because they focus more on getting re-elected than doing the right thing.

It will only get worse until borris and his team leave.

Totally agree - then it will get even worse.

It's a very good country to live in if you're a "Have".

Great country if you are an eco warrior, a criminal, an illegal immigrant, a woke idiot etc.

Rwanda

Rwanda is a soundboard, an idea, Ill be most surprised if it gets off the ground.
Its a desperate move to try and alleviate a very serious looming problem, because uncontrolled illegal migration IS a problem, not just for us , but the whole civilised world.
Thats not right wing , thats common sense.

Poverty

As I pointed out , poverty applies to very few people in this country, its a labour tag line.
There was far more poverty under previous labour governments than this tory one.

Food banks

Food banks are what they are , hardly a necessity , but more an axe to grind , and abuse by those who dont need them.

Windrush

A civil service mistake, it was never intended to be what it turned out  to be , but again seized upon as another axe to grind.

Hostile environment legislation

Such as ?

What has that to do with the government ?

I live on a **** hole of an estate, crime is high and many don't/won't work. I see many who genuinely do struggle but I also see many many more who abuse the system. I see people who holiday abroad visiting food banks surely that has to be wrong. Instead of blaming the haves try looking at those who are taking the mick.

I didn't know that, is it because of covid or has it been like that for a while?

Agree totally,  I'd be a have, but then I've worked for everything I've got.

I've no doubt there are people who genuinely need help, but many others are happy to milk the system.

Thats not right wing , thats common sense. Right of Trump this one.

As I pointed out , poverty applies to very few people in this country, its a labour tag line.
There was far more poverty under previous labour governments than this tory one. Evidence? All measures are negative under Tories.

Food banks are what they are , hardly a necessity , but more an axe to grind , and abuse by those who dont need them. Unless you  use them.

A civil service mistake, it was never intended to be what it turned out  to be , but again seized upon as another axe to grind. No this was directly as a result of the Hostile Environment legislation introduced in 2014.

Such as ? As above.

What has that to do with the government ? Dogma driven privitisation of building regs without oversight of standards.

Like i said a Tad left of trump.

Quality of life and standard of living is better now than it’s ever been.
When I had two small kids and a mortgage we lived from hand to mouth but I didn’t regard us as too badly off; both my kids were well looked after, I paid the mortgage and bills and now and then we could afford to take the kids abroad on holiday. I was very surprised to find however, that according to government statistics at the time, we were officially bordering the UK poverty line. 🤷‍♂️
Irrespective of which government is in power, each has had its turn to get it right, and you would think everything in the garden should be rosy by now, but it isn’t just government policy which dictates how well the economy is doing;  for instance, no one predicted a world wide pandemic, and as much as it now appears our government over-reacted, they weren’t the only government to do so, but ( and we seem to go round in circles here ) what would you have done to ensure the NHS wasn’t swamped caring for covid patients to the extent no one else could be treated?
Employment in the UK is at an all time high presently, but if inflation outstrips wages then that counts for not a lot at all, and there is currently an energy ‘shortage’ due to a war in Europe, and while we don’t get a lot of energy from those countries, those ‘haves’ as you put it, who supply the energy, sat round a table and plucked a cost ( to the rest of us ) out of thin air based on the perceived threat that this war posed.
Tell us, what would you do?
