That is a very touchy and hotly debated subject here in the emerald Isle..! You see we have two Tayto's over here. The original Tayto that is made in the ROI and then another Tayto that is produced in N.I. I like both and probably being a bit biased I would prefer the ROI Tayto. It is cleaner crisp on the pallet as I find the yellow bag Tayto tends to leave a clingy film on the roof of the mouth. The price of both packets are ridiculous, I remember Tayto when they had a price of 10p on the packet. They are now over a euro and the north ones are over a pound.! I'm working in the north at present and can by these in packs of 5 for £1.60 and they are more flavoursome than either Tayto. If he was eating quavers his old man would be yellow, but if he was eating Wotsits?
Scully
Tayto remind me of XL cheese, but not as strong. I think I prefer the former. Golden Wonder cheese and onion are a very firm favourite, as are Cheese and onion Discos. Its just dawned on me that I’m a 64 year old bloke sat at the kitchen table on a Sunday morning , talking about his favourite crisps! My old Dad would be so proud! Dave-G
One of my brothers works at Walkers, he dropped this bucket off the other day. Dunno what they retail at but he gets them from the staff shop at £1. The sea salt is what makes them nice for me. And yes that is Ditchy Geldof on screen lol. I took them to task last year over some of their other attempts.
