I have to say the police seem poorly trained in riot control and lacking leadership.

the police used to "kettle"....now they are being "kettled".........

ok there is alot of badness going on....but the govt needs to attend to the root cause....if there are no riots like this (whoever is responsible)....the govt will DO NOTHING

Notice how hard they are coming down on these riots and protests yet when it was the "George floyd" rioting time they stood back, let them wreck the place...cut down statues and the police take a knee and done damn all.

And therein lies the cause of some of this, two Tier Policing which is astonishingly annoying and unjust.  Starmer poured petrol on the flames by going on TV to announce it was his official policy, absolutely brain dead.

Just watching the news, a copper went to batton ( possibly) a lad throwing a missile at a window and completely missed him, fell over the lad who ran off, shouldn't laugh but I did.

Then there was a demo in Bolton, started peacefully,  then anti immigration demo turned up, then an Asian anti protest charging at the barrier, one copper clearly takes two swings with a fist and misses!

So Starmer gave his little speech earlier,  will they make an effort to arrest any of the Asian lads who turned up causing trouble??

I very much doubt it.

Northwest news has just shown trouble in Blackpool and Liverpool as well, with shops attacked and a library hub burned??

Then a motorbike cop attacked and knocked off his bike!!

Police in riot gear with dogs and horses busy everywhere!!

Steady on son you will lock the thread

That's what was said on the news, that around 300 Asian men charged at the barrier, police had to work hard keeping the protesters apart.

That's unfortunately correct: nice boy protests don't get anything done about the motive behind them - only unruly riotous actions get some sort of eventual attention regarding the root cause. It'll only get worse now the indigenous population are coming together to make .gov listen and act instead of blaming the wrong people.

Unfortunately this is a very predictable outcome and even more unfortunate is I believe there will be far worse future riots to.

Successive governments have taken the population for fools, when moderate people have raised genuine and real concerns over the huge influx of economic migrants and the harm and costs to our society, they've been dismissed, labeled uneducated, racist, xenophobic ect. All the while the far right have been growing, hoovering up disgruntled people who feel out of control, that their government doesn't represent them and who have little hope for a better future.

The question I always ask to those who call for even more wokeisum, is considering we now live in an age with huge diversity, the hra, protected characteristics, diversity training in schools, Universitys and jobs, ect. Why is it that we are seeing the far right rise and to my mind even more worryingly a general population who is generally utterly fed up with being silenced and told they're racist and privileged simply for being White British.

I fear for this country's future. It's not actually hard to solve. Extremist of all kind must be stopped, immigration must be controlled with olny those benefiting UK interests let in and there needs to be an honest conversation about this countrys problems including all sides.

The holiday inn Tamworth has been on fire . We drove past as the riot police were out after rocks were thrown and windows smashed .

In Tamworth we’ve had 5 stabbing and a few rapes in the last month linked to a place I won’t name .
All I can say is I no longer ride at night on my loop in fear of getting mugged by the groups of young lads from a certain location.

Never did I think I’d feel unsafe in my home town . Saying this tho I think the idiots using violence will be loosing their front doors tomorrow morning. Idiots .

It does feel like law and order is breaking down.

I had a car stolen last year - broke into the house to get the keys.  Car was broken up and for sale in bits on Fleabay within 3 days, some of it was at a local breakers.  The police raided the place and recovered a load of bits - the individual is still running around the streets - the wheels with the recently fitted set of tyres appeared on the same tat bazaar, police notified months ago - they are still for sale.   I now follow a FB group for stolen cars for the West Midlands - several get nicked every day and those are only the ones reported there.  Criminals can operate now with impunity - the dots are going to get joined up and the criminals will likely be the same subjects as those that have triggered the riots.

This.  Starmer is way out of his woke depth.  Just seen his speech today on the news, he makes me absolutely sick.  No acceptance of any of the issues and grovelling to anyone who isn't a native.

Within 2 or 3 days of the riots sparked by the death of George Floyd 5000 miles away Starmer was on his knee.

Some causes and opinions are allowed, others not.

It’s two tier everything now, and particularly policing (and soon we will see sentencing).

It started with Gordon Brown dismissing out of hand the views and concerns over mass immigration expressed by the old lady Labour voter as bigoted and racist. No one in Westminster cared / cares about immigration, integration and the failure of multi culturalism and it’s all boiling over now.

reading thro' the 3 pages of this post....some things are obvious

  1. the govt (and previous govts) treat the people as thickos..and have no right to an opinion
  2. the migration influx/problem/drain on resorces for the people of this country ..needs to be dealt with...PROPERLY

we are are not a racist country.....in order to help worthy migrants we first need to look after ourselves...we need to solve our own problems before we help others

Oh, come on, catch up!

Oowie has already explained to the rest of us that enhanced immigration is due to Brexit and essential to pay our pensions, not to mention the necessity of keeping the Labour vote count up.

😆

Everyone sees through that Ponzi scheme nonsense. And as for Brexit…. it won’t be long before Brexit is a decade in the rear view mirror, so how long is Brexit going to selectively take the blame by the left for everything that ever goes wrong? Oh and don’t mention Covid.

Unfortunately it will go on FOREVER.

Starmer keeps saying that those rioting "DO NOT REPRESENT THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY"

Oh come on Sir Kier, get real, they certainly do and the feelings are growing.

Your two tier policing policy is only exacerbating things.

Some are saying that they (the rioters) are actually assisting with the introduction of the plans

facial recognition, restricting travel, to be followed by digital ID, social credit score - all in the plan for 2030

the future is dark I am sorry to say

Indeed, they fell into the trap, one that'll have implications for all of us.

what does that word mean?

when there's only Muslims, all the work is done and all's good🤔

There are elements, WEF, WHO, etc, etc, that want a one world government or as much of that as they can get. The forced immigation (forced on the countries it's happening in, US, Canada, Europe by National governments under the influence) is one of the measures that are being used to achieve that aim. ESG and CEI are other elements of the same overall plan.
