Rachel Reeves FIRST Budget this month. I wonder who she will hit NEXT?

The first Budget of the New Labour Government is due on the 30th of October.

Who will be hit next?

Please remember she has repeatedly stated that there will be "NO RETURN TO AUSTERITY"

I personally think she will go after people who can't hit back.

Those on benefits of any kind will find the screw being tightened.

Motorists first then smokers I would think 👍

Motorists of Internal Combustion Engined Vehicles is a good call.

Smokers and those that enjoy a drink too.

Hopefully she will find someone to stand up to her.

Hello, There are many UK citizens on Benefits who are genuine , Many waiting to be seen by the NHS , Many disabled citizens who cannot find the right employment, Many of our younger generation and adults waiting for NHS Counselor appointment, It is not fair to put all these as lazy citizens on Benefits, Having said that there are and will always be those that can work but cheat the system,

I completely agree, BUT those in charge need to weed out the scroungers and look after the genuinely needy.

That would be a damned good start.

Agree.

But as said and reported it costs more to catch them than pay out.

The system is ripe for abuse as we've seen with the few they catch.

Yes, rather disappointing isn't it, I wonder whether it would be better to stop it all and start again?

I pretty sure we all know at least one that could be regularly reassessed .

Be it disabled badge and all that goes with it or so called long term sick.

Not everyone with a disabled badge is unworthy or easily identified as such?

I used to work alongside a chap who was an Independent Councillor.

He drove a car that was on Motability in his wifes name who was genuinely disabled.

He was not, but used to call out everyone that he thought was working the system.

His hypocrisy was massive.

From someone I know who works in Westminster....the removal or "restructuring" of Private Residence Relief on principal private residences is being considered due (allegedly) to those of us in our later years have had property value gains at a level never previously experienced.

Hold on to your hats.....

I'm well aware of that.

I did say a regular assessment would be a start.

Apologies.

That would entail more of the uncivils working from home?

Cheaper just to pay out until the wheels come off and we get taken over for £1.00?

I know this much, it'll be those of us that are working, and those who used to work now drawing a pension that get hit the hardest.

All part of the policy?

Frighten, subdue and take from everyone except those in power?

I wonder if new Dachas are available on expenses?
