Minky
The forecast is for extreme wind and rain. Down in the tropical south east the wind was supposed to start about 3pm but another forecast indicated 11 pm tonight. 3pm came and went and there was no rain and no wind. its raining now but only light rain. The wind has picked up a bit but who's got a hurricane and the shed roof off. Where has it got to.

welsh1
We are in pembrokeshire on the coast, the wind is gusting strongly, windows are groaning every now and then, it's supposed to be really bad between 3 am and 11. Wouldn't want to be outside tonight.
oowee
It sounds like it might be here at least its raining (N Somerset) and a little windy. It would be better if my phone stopped going off every hour with alert warnings.

I will help you out😄, I am now going out to battle the Yellow weather warning and yes it is windy but nothing out of the ordinary but with a Westly wind and living on the East coast then we are fairly sheltered , this time tomorrow I might be withdrawing my statement

Minky
About 10 past one. I've been sitting watching a music show on sky arts, really good, the yardbirds, tears for fears. I decided to have a look outside and the rain is sheeting past like smoke. coming up from the south. I don't know how fast the wind is going but it must be at least 35mph. It's not a good night for man nor beast out there. you could practice the Eddie the eagle stance out there, leaning into wind. Earlier this afternoon I went out into the garden to check out if there was anything that might be blown about and do damage. I then moved one of the cars back off of the deck down to the shelter of one of the sheds and a solid fence which may prevent any impact by flying stuff. The last storm we had a few weeks ago ripped a tile off of the garage front elevation and over the top of a parked car. we were lucky that the tile didn't hit the car or glasswork. there certainly is a vast amount of horsepower going past tonight. I feel sorry for any animals out in this lot tonight and for anyone sleeping rough or having to be on alert call out.. mel b3
I'm laying in a tiny caravan in mid Wales, and things are a little bit tense to say the least. I hope it passes soon.
chrisjpainter
It's supposed to be cranking up to 70mph gusts over the next few hours here in South Dorset. It doesn't sound that bad right now though. I'm meant to be microchalking our fishing club's lake in the morning. Three blokes in a small boat heaving chalk in 70mph gusts? Noooo perhaps not. most of the chalk will end up in the trees and we'll end up in the lake...

Shambam1962
Very heavy winds here, and heavy rain. Power did go off around 10pm and came back on at midnight. Next doors very large trampoline is being blown around their garden, like a piece of paper, and banging into their newly built boundary walls. I couldn’t make out what was making the noise, until I looked out, and their security light is on

Just listening to radio 4 , and the worst of the storm is still to come over the next few hours . I really don't think this little caravan can take much more.
