Same goes for abolishing the monarchy it would go to a result they don’t want. The monarchy has nothing to do with this, and most probably aren't bothered one way or the other. 1 hour ago, Newbie to this said: We don't just need capital punishment back, we need corporal punishment back as well, starting with 100 lashes for carrying a knife, and death penalty for using it. 100 lashes would probably kill them, but let's start with 20 and see if itgets results. Bloody enquiries .......MP's love them because they get paid to sit on them they dont have to make any desisions for months or years you usually get a gong at the end push it the right way and you end up in the house of lords by the time the enquiry ends the public usually have all died or forgotton about what it was......... Cosmicblue
Sadly there are individuals in our society that are mentally messed up, maybe 90% all there and 10% lethal. Up to and just after the 2nd World war there were many 'Asylums' where the fruit-cakes were sent, and probably in many cases forgotten about. As we rolled into the 1950s thinking changed and the Asylums were closed with the sites sold for building land. What happened to the occupants? Yep, they got released into society, many with the vague hope that they'd be taking the prescribed medication - murders and worse inevitably followed. The Southport nutter would have been an Asylum candidate for sure. Interesting article here: https://beyondthepoint.co.uk/a-history-of-mental-asylums/

And your point is? The law is an absolute *** when it comes to these things, and the low-hanging fruit is always picked first. Time after time, it’s tradespeople in trouble but the zombie knife enthusiasts literally walk Scot-free. I’m astonished at the reactionary, unthinking nonsense posted on here by licence holders who really should know better. The heinous crimes do not justify turning your brain off & getting into a ******* contest as to who can come up with a evermore more gruesome end for this person. Have a word with yourselves. Have you got any statistics to back up your claim that " time after time , it's trade people in trouble , but the zombie knife enthusiasts literally walk scott-free " . Or did you just make that up to suit your narrative, and have a dig at mice ?. Most people have normal human emotions , and that's why they feel such disgust and hatred at the monster that committed this evil crime . Just because you can't understand those emotions , doesn't mean that they aren't perfectly normal, for any normal person.

It should be, at the least, consecutive, not concurrent !

old man
Interesting wording in the judges summing up, "may never" not "will never" when talking about possible release? An itv news hound tried to tie it in with Dunblane and called for every restriction to normal public life as the solution?
