  1. CCL stock gun conditioning oil, done my shotgun stocks with it and they have come up fantastic, one bottle goes a long way, still not finished the first one. every couple of days use just a little dab and rub it in well with the palm of your hand, need to generate some heat with the rubbing, don't expect results straight away its a case of the long game,
  2. beware, as these also are not stainless and will rust/tarnish, when I was butchering I tended to buy Victorinox, their stainless steel was not to hard, kept an edge well and was easy to return to an edge with a steel,
  3. if its just an exercise bike your after, I had a good look round when I was after one, ended up bought a second hand Reebok ZR9, the programs and display are very good, paid £150 for mine mint condition
  4. correct, spent many hours cleaning them, was told years ago it was antibacterial in that air born bacteria that settled on it died
  5. I bought an Einhell brush cutter 10 years ago, been good, starts easy, run from new on aspen, now on the stihl fuel, use the 3mm line, never needed to use the blade
  6. ingenious, I wondered how it was going to work, not just a pretty face
  7. when I was a butcher that would be my dinner with a load of chips, now I just have the 28 day old 8oz steaks, now as then not trimmed,
  8. good call. used these along with RC 32gram 4's on big driven duck days, using a EELL classic, a light weight game gun, could be using up to a slab with no recoil problems
  9. 10 bob was 5 pints of Robinson's bitter at 1s 8d a pint, a few games of darts and a bag of chips for the walk home
  10. head shot a cock pheasant in the garden with the .22 air rifle, flapped a bit but not for long, took it to my pals up in the lakes, he cooked it and we had it for dinner, said that it was the nicest pheasant he had ever had, he eats a lot of game over the season its his staple diet from beating and picking up, he's 70yrs plus nothing to do with the topic but zoomed photo from the firing point in the summer, notice the young buzzard, was not interested in the pheasant, I think it was looking for slug and worms, pheasant was there a while after not bothered at all
  11. the lads recon to get to over 200mph in between the 2 garages near where I live, the sound of them bikes being wound up is incredible. waiting for one to hit a sheep,
  12. I also thought I would give it a try after reading about it on here, went for the middle one, 1000mg, started on 4 drops, got up to 6 drops, so didn't feel right, had the last dose on Saturday, feel different again today, obviously not for me, might have something to do with all the other meds
  13. ask your doctor for some Butec transdermal patches, you use them 1 weekly, found them good for my aches and pains, past them now, on Fentanyl 72 hour ones
  14. wow. back in 2012 when I had both my eye lens replaced went for the multi focal, £3000, best money I ever spent. don't think £6k is bad for 2020
  15. had my cens 5-6 years, one stopped working a couple of years ago, it got drowned when a tin of coke fell over, a couple of weeks ago sent it back to cens, received a phone call from them in less than a week, it was beyond repair which I kind of knew anyway, to replace just the one was expensive, but they are so good I bought a pair of the new push button ones, got them within three days, also found out they do a service for a nominal sum so will be having that in the future from my standpoint cannot fault their customer service
  16. Adrian Flux, I am same as you but 19 plate Honda FA6, £200 fully comp. you might have to jump through some security hoops for comprehensive cover but third party should present no problems. you need to think before you answer some of the questions
  17. had my flu jab yesterday, at 13.55, did not feel the needle go in, no bruising, no noticeable side effects as yet!
  18. Simon Willmore at Doveridge, did the combs on both my DT11 and EELL, I looked around his was the neatest, well pleased with them both
  19. in the early 70's I went to work for a thriving local family butcher, terraced corner shop on a main road junction, old fashioned, very busy little shop, council decided to put double yellow lines for 50 to 100 yards on both sides of the roads, after a lot of objections they did, 1/3 taken off the weekly takings straight away.. I bought the butchers when the guy retired, so can speak from experience, each out of town superstore will take 10% from your weekly take, there were none when I bought the shop, they built some of the first and biggest within a shout from me for me yellow lines and pedestrianisation killed the town centres before the internet was heard of
  20. get one of those bags that they use for pet bedding that you can put in the washing machine, I got a smallish one from the 'bay for I think £2.99p, they also use them to protect delicates, washed my non washable barbour tweeds at 30 degrees no problem, spun dried and hung out to dry, need to give the heavily soiled areas a bit of attention beforehand as 30 is a cool wash
  21. its simply that the NFU do not want to insure your quad as they didn't mine even though my cars and home insurance is with them. do the rounds of the motor bike insurers, expect to jump through hoops for comprehensive, I had to put a 24hr tracker on my FA6 to get comprehensive cover, insurance is void if not 'sold secure' chained up as well as a top of the range oxford chain
  22. laugh if you want but, I bought a craghoppers three quarter length jacket from their outlet shop, wear it for taking the dog out and picking up, not got a 2 way zip or cartridge type pockets but been picking up out all day in the rain, took the dog out earlier chucking it down, water streaming off it, totally dry, apart from at the cuffs, though that is from using a thumb stick, use the tech wash every year to reproof, the water pills off until its saturated but doesn't come through
  23. I have just bought a couple of Daiwa crossfire 4000 reels. they are classed as a spinning reel but I will be using them for carp fishing, not been used in anger yet, should have been today but the batteries on my truck have give up, anyway bought them from that place on 'bay £24.99, good line lay with 8 and 12lb and as smooth as my shimano areo gt baitrunner just had a look, discount offer has finished, its the 'new' model now, the same reel now proper price £44
  24. as the owner of a Honda trx auto, I would say the manual Honda every time
