Kalahari
I have a feeling I am beating all those days! Shame innit!!!!! Actually the UK does have a resident population so you can see them all year if you know where to look. David.

ollie
I've saw a few woodcock the last couple of weeks while lamping. As has been said, it could be resident birds, however, there will be woodcock migrating on this next full moon. Bring it on!!!

Tollerman
Shot one with my first shot of the day on Wednesday .Several more seen during drives in the Chrisrmas tree plantation on my Essex shoot although no more were shot on the day.Not unusual as the often figure in the bag on our first shoot at this time of the year. However given the report on declining numbers in this weeks ' Shooting Times ' I have mixed feelings about shooting another. ollie
We got our first woodcock of the year on our border shoot last weekend. I would expect that there is more on the mainland at the minute, we normally get them later on in November here in Ireland.

Paul T
Saw my first of the season on Saturday - too low for me to shoot, but I called it for the adjacent guns. One had a blast as it rose, but it outwitted him!
