I posted a video of a boxing day meet and said that I'd love to go to one. A family friend has posted a sarcastic comment about how nothing like good will to all me than ripping a defenseless animal apart. This guy is a fisherman who has always owned jack Russells am I wrong in thinking he's an idiot and that Jack Russell are bred for rats and foxes I don't know what to say to it. I know it's petty and it's only facebook but I'm going to have to see this guy soon and I don't know how to respond to it

Don't say anything about his dog "Jack Russell are bred for rats and foxes"

There's one thing saying something about his wife/girlfriend but never, never, about a mans dog.

Does he not know the law as been changed with regards to the killing of 'Fox' with hounds.

Think you are letting this get to you, like as been said just ignore this guy because you will never win the argument with this type, been there and got the t-shirt.

Does he sleep in your bed , eat your dinner, sit next to you while you watch your favourite TV programmes, do you socialise with him.

If "no" to any of the above why do you really bother what other people say on bloomin face book.

Is it just me that really doesn't give 2 hoots what folk think or say about me as long as they don't drink my beer or eat my dinner. ???

Its not just you. It just makes it all the funnier when they waste their time trying to think of something to say that will bother you.

I went to one of my local hunts this morning to watch them off. Never really thought id ever do it but had a great morning and then saw them a few more times on the way home, and the hounds were great to see out...

Also i got rid of facebook 5 years ago and have never looked back. Ignore the un educated comment and carry on enjoying your Christmas and new year

My old work colleague used to feel the same, if I discussed shooting in the office he would rant about defenceless animals and other ****. So I posted lots of slaughter house links and similar bad taste vids on his facebook wall questioning his outlook on these defenceless animals!? He replied they were bred for consumption so it was ok... How some people view shooting and eating from the land is beyond me.

I do giggle at people saying to delete Facebook . My uncles 80 and got it ;)

I keep in touch with my friends and family across the world.

Just delete idiots and all is well :)

Why giggle? I work for a company who love social media, yet do not have Facebook or Twitter. If watching cat videos or seeing that your mates pn the bus is how you spend you free 5 minutes thats cool. I just dont see any point to it.

As for keeping in touch with mates or family. Emails? Phone calls? Always possible outside the world of facebook.

We use Facebook to advertise and wow it works well . I put about some cheap kitchen doors and we had 18 people turn up within 2 hours. The amount of joinery work I've found is shocking and even run a few groups now for joinery and shooting.

I lost touch with my family as the youngest cousin is 23 and oldest 50 but I found them again on FB . Emails do not show people's lives or phone calls.

I keep in touch with my mates off here that I have made

Sparkie, reggiegun,Daf etc and even tho they rip into me it lightens my day up :)

My mum and dad didn't see a point to it ;) but now they've seen the light and watch my kids on the days we don't meet up.

It's always personal preference ;) I understand that .

Life's short. Use it to find old pals and smile
