AVB
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39355940 I was on train and overheard telephone conversation with passenger who was obviously a copper. Along the lines of "get back to base, terrorist incident".

Penelope
Just spoken to a courier who has came from Parliament Square that there are three separate incidents. A police officer stabbed. The car running people down and bodies littered across Westminster Bridge.
Zapp
From what I can see from my window Westminster Bridge is sealed off with a serious Police presence at the southern end. We are still being kept indoors as a precaution.
scolopax
Just watched a brief clip on the BBC live feed, an immobile casualty being attended to by a couple of civilians, others running up to offer help. And young man stood back just filming it all on his phone.......................
saddler
...and top notch BBC reportage "...white Police vans, with blue lights on the top..." & "...the roads are arranged in grids..." *** I turned off the BBC News24. Watching some fat family emigrating to Spain in another channel instead: similar BS to News24, but with more sunshine! TOO MUCH news during such incidents can be summed up by: "We've not got a Scooby what's going on, but well keep talking about it regardless; more bleeding obvious from our on the spot reporting team..." Aye. Worth EVERY penny of the license fee, they're not paid enough, poor lambs. ETA Maybe the BIG news to take away from all this, Zapp is allowed a window! mick miller
My thoughts are with the injured and deceased. It seems that mowing down innocent people with vehicles is the now the new method for the cowardly, how brave.
clakk
Condolences to the victims of these evil swine and i hope they bring back the death penalty .To kill and maim innocents should automatically remove any human rights protection from the animals that do this
Delwint
Two reported dead now. If you are in London be aware and cautious. We have been very fortunate so far not to have had a terror attack if this is what it is. It was only a matter of time!!!

Vince Green
I don't mean to sound in any way like I am making light of what has happened but it could have been a lot worse. More like a nutcase than a serious terrorist fortunately.

Sha Bu Le
Watching a BB1 news special report. Policeman stabbed after car ran over pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. Now being reported that one woman hit by the car has died in hospital. Others (potentially 12 persons) have injuries described as catastrophic. Beeb also saying "police officers injured" no confirmation. Man has been shot by police, not stated by the beeb if alive or dead. Not stated what their injuries are but a group of French students were hit by the car. Poor kids they have to live permanently on guard in France only to come here and have this happen to them. Heard some MP talking to the house say the attacker was shot dead, again not confirmed. Beeb has made no mention of the man's condition, nor have they made any references to the mans ethnicity whereas face ache is saying a middle aged Asian man ?? Beeb now saying could have been two assailants one white and one black. ?? No doubt the actual facts will emerge over the next day or so. Beeb now reporting a policeman has died. Thoughts and best wishes to all those injured and to the family of the lady who died. And of course the policeman And Zapp you stay safe. Edit to add news re the police officer. Terrible thing to happen but judging by the amount of police and special forces that were drawn to the scene I am relieved ( I hope ) that it is not a distraction for something even worse elsewhere. Vince Green
After he was shot and arrested his pal stabbed another police man and eyewitness report 2 men carrying big knives are being looked for by the Met so it,s more than a nutter Vince Yes but compared to bombs on packed underground trains or AK47s at a crowded concert we should acknowledge how much worse it could have been. Probably the dumbest place in London for a terrorist to attack given the level of security. Sadly they are now confirming that one of the officers has died.
