Wear full combats and cam cream also a pair of thigh high. 6 inch chromium heel rubber boots.... or dress smartly in jeans, shirt and boots

The later will probably be best until you get a permission..then the former if you must and you think the boots will improve your shooting

Not overly smart just like jeans, shirt and a tweed jacket. You just want to give the impression that you're smart and tidy and don't look like the person that's going to leave gash and spent ammo everywhere. Also if they say know ask them if they know any other farmers that need help

I wear my work clothes mostly and give them a business card. I'm a joinery company so normally get dragged in lol.

I've turned up in combats /cammo before but why not ?

I recon I get 90% I ask on and the only reason not to get it normally is its syndicate.

I guess I do my homework first tho and find out who the farmer is, name, type of farming etc.

A pink Mohican haircut, piercings through your nose, tattoos on your head and neck, superdry tee shirt and Burberrys check headwear, would speak volumes!

So just wear ordinary clean, tidy, comfortable clothes, unless he has already made up his mind not to allow anyone (else?) to shoot his land......be courteous, the way you approach him is usually the important factor.....be prepared for many, many knockbacks!

I've always worn what ever clothes I wear to go shooting in mainly combats wellies and a dark top. Yea I've had knock backs but I've also gained a lot of permission as well. How many smartly dressed farmers do you see.

Not that it should, and it's never happened to me, but someone in camo would put me off immediately. Don't know why, and it's awful, but just being truthful.

Must say thinking about it, I've not had any contact from people wanting to shoot for a couple of months. That'll change when the combines are started up 🙄

Bright orange boiler suit covered in oil and mud, works for me!

That seriously wouldn't bother me, as long as you're not western power, they do more damage to our property than a Russian hacker does to other things...

I believe they're all in a holding pattern circling the M5, M42, M6 awaiting the start of harvest before they swoop in!

'They' the non winter shooters can hear a glow plug for miles.

I jest not, the minute the rape gets sprayed I'll be door knocked until it drives me to distraction.
