ordnance
This is the latest nonsense required by Boris's EU deal, troops and equipment can't move from one part of the UK to another without filling out customs forms. Quote The Ulster Unionist Party has said that, under the protocol, the MoD must now give 15 days notice and fill out customs declaration forms before it moves equipment from GB to NI. It also said Nato has to be notified about the move.
TIGHTCHOKE
Well perhaps they could put in the paperwork on a repeat setting just in case it all kicks off!
lampro
Umm more protocol and bull**** put into place to try and appease and kiss *** as usual to be liked. cuffy
How is it boris's fault if some petty eu pen pusher makes up stuff just to be a pain ? Rubbish like this should just be ignored , we're out - move on .
oowee
Unreal. This Tory party will be the death of the Union. How can they agree this? I thought it was all about taking back control, now the UK has to apply to move military equipment around the UK, and put goods trough EU customs moving them from one part of the UK to another. cuffy
I'd blame the eu sponging surrender monkeys , who will do all they can just to say " I told you it won't work "

I'm with you on this. Its why I said long ago no deal was the way to go, the EU simply can not be trusted to act in good faith in any agreement and will be as difficult as possible. I think it outrageous they have to be informed of troop movements within the UK.

Hicky
Beyond the fact I doubt this is in place and the gov wouldn’t agree to it, I’m fairly sure the DUP would ensure they wouldn’t object with any rips paperwork or not. Rewulf
The real question is why ? Why would the EU make such a request/rule , and why would we agree to it ? Whilst were at it , its not about moving troops around the UK per se , its about moving troops to NI , so lets be clear on that. What do they think were going to do , ,man the border , invade ? ordnance
Its probably a example of a lot of stupid things they have signed up to in the deal, that will come out in time.
old man
Just heard Gove on the news, he almost apologised for their threat? An utterly weak individual with an attitude to match?
243deer
we should take exactly the same attitude the French would to this sort of BS, ignore it entirely. What are the EU going to do?
armsid
This is the EU controlling OUR ARMY and the vaccine grab just shows what they are. France closed its borders to non EU citizens coming in or out to contain the virus we will see if anymore illegals come in from there
Gordon R
We should treat this unenforceable garbage with the same respect as the French give fishing quotas. Only a fool would comply.
