The real problem here is that the law is on their side, and not on ours, because the vast majority of the "boat people" are NOT illegal immigrants.

The reason for this is that the vast majority are intercepted at sea and brought to England by Border Force. the RN or a lifeboat. Because of this they have been rescued at sea and land as passengers and not as illegal immigrants - people who are rescued at sea don't have a choice about where they are landed. That's why the boat people don't call for help until they are in British territorial waters ...

Their French coastal escorts ought to be 'rescuing' them - and the British authorities ought to be kicking up because they don't. It's collusion on a grand scale - and we're paying the French for the escorts while blaming trafficking gangs.

That makes sense but, according to my source (a senior immigration officer who deals with them on a daily basis) they refuse rescue from the French because they don't want to be taken back to France. They threaten to throw themselves overboard, so once they are at sea there is nothing that the French can do.

Then they're crying 'wolf' by being selective about assistance - If they don't accept nearest assistance end of story in my opinion, but Frenchies could use Gaffing hooks on life jacket straps. That's the way out if only the UK authorities change the law so our gov militant union staff could be brought into line.

Seems in this small boats case its the 2022 union led discontent rather than winter of discontent.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to send a message to me .

Get 'rescued' by the British, then STILL get taken back to France, with agreement from the French of course.
Just tell them they were still in French waters when they got picked up.
Once the word gets around.....

It wont happen of course, as the collusion between the UK and France, isnt about solving the problem at all.

Border Force cannot check who they transport over the channel and they are paid to be our gatekeepers. Interesting that the gov have brought out a good law protecting women and girls from unwanted harrassment bet it does,nt apply to the migrants (it should)

Were they able to define it?

Militant left rejoin activism in my opinion - albeit unsupported so don't be asking for links or proof.

Bigger than the EU.

Good news, rishi has made a promise to sort this (along with other problems) so that's the problem sorted.

His big announcement of how he's going to fix the UK had to be shortened though, the bit where he said those that couldn't afford food, could eat cake instead, was deemed mildly insensitive to French ex pats.

When will the government say enough and do something about it!

 Now why would they ?
Keep letting them in , before long there will be some kind of mass civil action or conflict, then we are divided further....

This scumbag has already machine gunned 2 people to death in Serbia, then pretended to be a child asylum seeker , who got put in a UK secondary school !

Origins - No checks

Asylum application - No checks

Criminal background - No checks

Age - No checks , despite him clearly looking over 16

Farce.

Absolutely, what get me is the people in the UK who support the system that allows this to happen. We know of individuals on this forum who would encourage more illegal immigrants to our shores, although I note they've been very quiet on this particular incident, I wonder why!

When they can squash the civil service union - It is the civil servants that are not doing what is asked of them.

Probably too busy cleaning up the swamp that is in power. 🤣

Thank goodness we have a civil service that gets on with doing.
