Good shot?
The sacking over the email she sent is just a tool to remove her because she says she cannot carry out Conservative promises to reduce both legal and illegal immigration due to opposing policies within the government. Good on her for stating the truth that effectively we need to come out of human rights legislation which in my opinion will be harder to do than Brexit was. Too many remainers still in positions of power imo and Hunt is one of them. There is not a party that will do what is required. Only Farage will state the obvious but will he get the right backing to bring about a new party that will carry out the public’s wants and there should be no doubt what the public want. I posted this in utter frustration at the Conservative fiasco we find ourselves in and the inability of a system that has failed to provide a viable alternative to allow me to vote for any party that will fulfill its obligations. Or at least carry out the manifesto promises it was voted in for. Edited October 19, 2022 by Good shot? Spelling edit
ditchman
usually when there is a full house in the commons...i have a quick look at who's there and in the past i rekonise and have been able to name alot of the people there had a quick swizz at them last night.....and i was very hard pressed to name any of them.......... one of my theories is that there are far to many MP's in post that have come thro the govt' system...and then parachuted into various constituencys (like truss)..........for the conservertive party to once again succeed ...this system needs to be dropped and the local conservertive clubs once again are allowed to chose and appoint their candidates....people with experience and from their regions the conservertive party is done for....it has destroyed itself....i think labour will get in easily...and a new party will form the opposition....what forms that party or in what form the party is...is another thing......for in order to suceed it will need to have balls and experience and respect....and you cant buy that off the shelf....you have to earn it............i think labour will be in power for a while...as it will take time for the party to form and watching labour eat itself to death from within... im not sayin this is what will happen as i aint that clever.............its just my opinion... Hello, I think we may find the Labour party headed by Sir Starker and his cabinet may get this country back on track but there much the same , it will still be the hard working people in UK who will have to burden the cost of living crisis, saying this, had we still Corbyn and his gang I dread to think how our country would fare

I haven't seen the news yet today but I'll be watching when I get in. 13 minutes ago, Yellow Bear said: ah but the union grandies will manipulate them back into place one labour wins a majority. That's the big problem, those muppets are still lingering around somewhere. Hopefully the Tories pull something out of the bag before the next GE is due, but it certainly doesn't look good. Was Truss the shortest ever PM then?

What's the difference? Yes and no. The membership overwhelmingly wanted Boris to continue. It was MPs that ousted Boris, and put up Sunak and Truss to the membership, they had no choice in the candidates. The members then didn't want Sunak, so voted for there only other option. A bit like why the majority (IMHO) vote for the Conservatives, they don't want Labour, so vote the only other (viable) option. Even if it is, we were given the vote, by those who govern. They gave us that choice due to political expediency. It’s not their job to then complain because it didn’t go the way they wanted, and then conspire to overturn the results of that vote, but to govern despite it and create policies with which to cater for it and move on. To do otherwise is akin to throwing up one’s hands along with the toys as if to say ‘ah well, that’s that then, we’re scuppered’ and then having a hissy fit. The lecterns been put up outside No10, so that’s it, she’s finished. The ‘I’m not a quitter’ is quitting. No support no choice. What a complete and utter embarrassing farce this is.
