All you need to do is to keep your pajamas on all day and when you go to bed they are already nice and warm , I should know as I was born in the Winter of 1947 which was one of the hardest on record , and would you believe I have been cold ever since .    MM

Well the Winter Cartridge Allowance may have been taken away from us but the HMRC has kindly stepped in and sent me a cheque to cover the deficit.

Hello, Just thought to add a late Post on this Topic as many on here did not get the Allowance, On a TV money programme last night a retired Lady stated she was just over the limit with here Pension but had to take out a Credit Card to pay her heating bill this winter, !!!!!!!

I might have lost the heating allowance like the majority of o a ps but I did get a letter this week from B G to say , wait for it , they now owe me money and are going to put £12 something back into my bank account and the rest they are keeping in credit in case my bills go up more than the estimate , tell yer , it is better to be born lucky than rich , better still it better to be born both , lucky and rich , I might had been born lucky but certainly not rich

I was with EDF but recently moved to BG cheaper fixed tariff for 12 months and no fee to move after the 12 months. 

EDF was over estimating monthly Direct debit which I dropped to what I estimated bills to be. When I gave them notice and gave my last meter reading they owed my £125. 

I won't have my money sitting in someone else's bank account. They should have returned any money into my account that was £50 over my monthly cost of fuel. Hence me moving.
