I have just seen details of those arrested in Liverpool on Saturday. The youngest was 29, then various ages up to the eldest at 69  !  This proves one thing to me........the older you get, the slower you become  !   😂😂

I think if the Bobby had fallen on top of that lad, he would be suspended by now, pending an investigation   !  There was another 'innocent bystander ' sent sprawling by a Bobby with a shield, I'll  bet he is awaiting the formal complaint too. Of course the Police Dog that was having a little nibble at another 'bystander '  will either be put down or sent for retraining. We can not have such Police Brutality on our streets.  🙄

That Bobby should have grabbed the first lad, but missed him badly,  hopefully he's getting stick from his mates.

The cop throwing punches needs to remember there's always someone filming.

And if you get bitten by a police dog during a riot then it's your own damn fault, at least I Hope so, same for getting knocked down by a shield.

I'm not knocking the police, I've no idea what it's like to stand there with a mob running at you, I was just agreeing that the police look badly prepared for what's going on.

But it makes me wonder where they are all coming from, guessing that it's police from different forces all being pulled in?

What doesn't look good is seeing pictures of women on the floor being handcuffed for being at a demo because of the two KIER policing standards but the thugs from both sides are running a mock, we could do with some water cannons 🙄🙄

Been thinking about the old country. Hard to comprehend what is going on in some respects. Probably time for the UK to abandon commitments to the UN and ECHR etc. It's a sad state of affairs, but the world has changed. If the UK is to sort out immigration, it can't be hamstrung. Australia did it. Their policies were deeply unpopular with some of their own electorate and international bodies, yet they proceeded and gained some control.

Hello, Any control would be better in UK than the no control we have now,

Rather than more controls it may be wise to start investing in education again so our citizens have an informed outlook on the issue that affect our country and hence lives, perhaps then the mob will grasp the basics of cause and effect, even   knowing the difference between right and wrong would help

Peraps some kind of test before being able to vote would be better than seeing our country ruined by draconian policies implemented off the back of the actions of a few ill educated and easily led thugs.

I knew when the previous government spouted that it was ok to break the law if it furthered their cause that it was the start of the decline,

A fish rots from the head down.

Everything seemed to be running smoothly before farage and his crackpot brexiteering con trick, i used to like the olden days when we could blame the common market on our troubles,

This blaming immigrants for the failures of the post brexit immigration/asylum fiasco is simply not right,

The far right minority should look in the mirror when looking for the cause of their problem, its fairly clear their frustration is made more acute as they really thought that things would get better for them and theirs post brexit and they are subconciously unable to come to terms with their own stupidity in falling for it and the fact that they were really just used as legups to aid farages climb up the greasy pole of populist politics before being thrown under the bus once their white, working class leave votes had been counted,

I hope every man jack of these thugs caught on camera using weapons against the police, public and private property get a proportional sentence in relation to those those that were dished out to those that protested peacefully by sitting in the road or tied themselves to bridges for a far more important issue than a simple dislike of foreigners.

Smashing up a library, citizens advice centre and looting greggs says it all really.

I’m with you on this except the reference to what I assume are the likes of stop oil protestors. As far as I’m be concerned stop oil and rioters against immigration are both binned in the same imbeciles bucket, just there for different causes.

There’s the mob that attacked the police station last week after the airport incident, then the riots in Leeds after a social services incident and now we see gangs of masked thugs armed with knives, swords and hammers out and about - but they’re not far right. They too will need prosecuting but it won’t happen and that’s part of how we got to where we are now.

Brexit was nearly a decade ago. It’s boring now.

I have to say the police seem poorly trained in riot control and lacking leadership.

I believe it is due to many forces getting rid of full time FSU/PSU/riot teams. Instead they are replaced with level 2 teams in a ghost contingency, and so whilst they have the training, it is not used as often to be a formidable team. Also whilst they are all trained, getting 22 "strangers" together rather than a team that work together daily means you lose some effectiveness.

That said, sometimes going into a hot zone without the ability to prep, plan, and deploy will mean a dynamic entry that looks scrappy.

Im beginning to question your grip on reality.

Why do you think Brexit happened ? 15+ years of uncontrolled immigration, terrorist attacks by some of these migrants, sexual crimes, street robbery, housing being taken up by the 5+ million new people we were completely unprepared for, the collapse of the NHS...
But no , it was Farage conned us into voting leave

People voted leave from all walks of life and social status, all races and religions, because they thought it might be the first steps toward controlling who came into this country, if anyone conned us , it was the government, who always wanted to remain.

Its like now, where this discontent has boiled over into riots, is being blamed on the 'far' right, when its just ordinary people who have had enough of being ignored, and have finally realised the only way to make a government sit up and take notice, is to take to the streets.

Exactly,  they were ignored,  but Starmer wants to stamp on the riots now, completely ignoring the reason for them.

I doubt most out burning libraries and attacking the police bother to vote, probably the same with the other lot as well.

100% it was the first time my Mum ever bothered to vote for anything , and it was the immigration issue that triggered it.

Most didn't seem capable of holding a line, they were in effect kettled by the protesters who at times could have easily over run them, it was only when they had mass of numbers that they started to take back control, by that time fires had been started, and most windows smashed in.

So your Mum was an uneducated far right thug ?
Obviously Im joking, but that was what was levelled at Brexiters at the time, and its the same story today.
Anyone with a brain cell spare knows that these riots are not driven by some imagined far right group, they are ordinary men and women who have had enough, and for every one of them who takes to the streets, there is a thousand more who will be agreeing with the reasons behind it.
Im not condoning rioting, but some of these protests have been met with violent counter demonstrators, some of them armed.

She was very, very opinionated,  yet it was thinking about her Grandkids futures that got her to vote, she'll be no different to many many other Grandparents out there, most who I'm sure will be wondering what's happening to the country.

As a teenager I remember getting the bus into Wigan to buy a watch (casino from Argos 🤣), all on my tod, not even sure if I told my folks I was going, I probably did,  no mobile phone.

The same bus station someone was robbed and stabbed outside in broad daylight a few weeks back.

My daughter asked recently if she could get the bus into Preston with friends,  not a chance!! They don't know Preston at all but that was only a small part of us saying no.

You've got to be having a laugh.

Wokeisum has caused all this and what your saying is to solve it, we need to blame normal working people who voted for Brexit and implement even more woke policy.

It is the far left's standard response, though.

"There's no two tier policing...it's a non-issue"  Utter denial from the PM.  Things are going to get much worse before they get better, that's for sure.

Also, some very soft questioning from GBN.  Jebus, no wonder people are giving up on broadcast media in droves.
