if you look at who,s signed into site you will find google and yahoo they watch us that's why pw comes up on searches.

Yeah my point was with the original poster getting some flak for coming on here as a first point of call, if this site comes up close to the top in a search then may be we should expect this type of question from time to time, and may be we should refrain from ridiculing the OP for not phoning his FEO as a first point of call............ like the OP would know what an FEO was? WOW! what a responce (I thought I'd give it a few days before checking back) and so much to think about. I didn't even consider it might be worth anything! I'm in Northampton area. Not really into shooting. I geuss RFD is Registered Firearms Dealer? anyone know of a honest one in my area? What does it take to get a licence? might be better than ruining a nice piece. I've left it were I found it, wasn't going to risk taking it anywere!

I have pm ed you the details of Nothamptons premier RFD, I shoot with him every week and buy most of my gear from him, very straight and honest guy.

If you are wary about moving it yourself depending on where you are he may be able to pick it up from you.

Any probs I am also in your area, drop me a line.

Haha! Unfortunately no, went with the hacksaw option but sadly the design of the cabinet around the locking bolt and edges means I can't get enough angle to cut enough of the bolt. Need an angle grinder!

I really hope there is something interesting in there and not just a porn stash .......

I have now had some feedback from the dealer I recommended via PM to the thread starter,

He suspects that it may have been designed for use against aircraft in WWI, the shotgun barrels were loaded with chain shot. He does have a collector who may be interested.

Really Id love to know what lead to that conclusion.
