Duckandswing
I have never been one for buying things I don't need, be it cars, clothes, tools etc. But, guns and all the gear, seems to be wholly addictive. Does anybody else feel that they need every type, in every gauge or is it just me? I spend more time browsing guns than anything else. I will hasten to add that I do not have every type of gun. But I reckon by year end I'll have the four main types of shotgun.
robdab
I think the medical term is gunitis don't worry you won't have to see a GP he will say it eases off in its own time might last a few years in a lot of cases there's no cure

Jaymo
I'm sorry to say but there is no known cure to man. Women don't seem to be inflicted with this quite frankly terrible debilitating disease. I for one caught it back in the late 70's and despite several wife induced therapy sessions we are now at 19- I know "My name is Jay- and I'm an addict"

demonwolf444
It's a problem isn't it. I have a friend and he's had his ticket years and has one gun, he's had others but always ends up going back to that one and doesn't seem to have any interest in any others now. The thought "beware of the man with one gun" comes to mind but he's a distinctly average shot.

fortune
CLUB. AAddicted. I love the look, the feel, the smell. Especially fired paper cartridges. Feo told me that I had too many. BUT I don’t smoke or drink or gamble AND I haven’t been anywhere near Kettering. Hang on I feel the pull like a big magnet has been switched on leading into a black hole like a circle in a spiral like a wheel within a wheel. I for one caught it back in the late 70's and despite several wife induced therapy sessions we are now at 19- I know "My name is Jay- and I'm an addict" I must confess to only owning two shotguns in 12g and 410. One Daystate in 177 one Gamo magnumm springer in 22 and crossman CO2 pistol. So probably not totally addicted. Got lots of clothes and accessories as well. Although the idea of a old hammer gun has some appeal.

Old Boggy
How many on here, when looking for another gun has been asked by the wife " why do you need another gun, you've got 'x' already", but when she wants yet another pair of shoes, dress, coat or whatever to add to her already extensive wardrobe, a similar question is met with much abuse. There seems to be double standards here, or am I just being chauvinistic ?
Old Boggy
I think that following on from my previous post, that many are secretive about their purchases or at least the cost of them, I know I am, and according to many gunshops that I have visited, I'm certainly not in the minority. Maybe others have more understanding partners.
