guzzicat
Sadly I think the DLI museum closed, that was a great place including the gun VC Wakenshaw won his award on,his end is a dramatic read, details left with his body by the Afrika Corps I believe. Mice!
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g186267-Activities-County_Durham_England.html looks like a nice place to wander with the buggy, plenty to see.
figgy
Durham city is very nice, the indoor market is nice. The Cathedral is very nice to see and big Rose stained glass window the cloisters are all worth a look. Having a youngster in a pushchair shouldn’t stop you enjoying it. If you have a full day have a run up to Bywell and wander around the gun room. You could go for a run to Barnard Castle and High Force. Scully
Brancepath Castle used to be a good gun shop if it’s still on the go; mind you, I’m talking pre handgun ban here.
