Smokersmith
So ... The "stupid woman" thing .... I could forgive him for saying it, but not at all for lying about it .... If there's any justice he'll have a very bad day today.

TIGHTCHOKE
He really is completely and utterly inept, surrounds himself with liars and regularly demonstrates his poor judgement. At a time when the Conservative Government were at their lowest point he couldn't even mount a challenge. Long may he stay in charge as the Leader of the Opposition, he will never get in to power. Scully
I’m not a professional lip reader, but it was so obvious I don’t think it needed one. The man is a liar.
Sha Bu Le
Must be Tony Corvid now then Scully Agree with all of the above, next we'll have his No 2 saying she heard it and he said people. She never could get anything right 😕
moose man
How easy would it have been to admit it and apologise...end of problem ! Instead you lie , and blow the whole situation way above it’s merit ..stupid woman is hardly the insult to end all insults

walshie
Trying to lie your way out of a problem seems to be the way now. One of his MPs was found guilty of perverting the course of justice yesterday because she lied, lied and lied again to avoid a small speeding ticket. JohnfromUK
He is lying in (at least) couple of respects: It is pretty clear he said it - as confirmed by lip readers Mrs May is not 'stupid' - we may not agree with what she is doing - but she got good results from a grammar school and a reasonable degree in Geography from Oxford - by contrast Corbyn was privately educated and managed only two bottom grade A levels and failed to complete a degree course. Smokersmith
Apparently Diane Abbot was wheeled out on Radio 4 this morning to defend him .. one of my colleagues heard it and said it was hilarious !!

I did hear it - it wasn't one of here 'most memorable' performances, but did deliver the usual pause and hesitation ridden ramble around the question. She wouldn't get far on Radio 4's "Just a Minute"!

One of the things that strikes me is that most people (including politicians) have some sense of humour - and poke jokes at each other. Indeed one complaint is that Prime Minister's Questions is sometimes more like a stand up comedy show. Now I'm not suggesting that Corbyn's jibe was done in humour - his sour expression clearly shows that - but he seems entirely and totally devoid of humour - just bitter, jealous, sour, miserable. Everyone knows corbyn said it, it's like an argument in a primary school, pretty sure they should have more important stuff too do. Is it still going on? Corbin doesn't respect anything does he? And as for more important, just about everything, shame Mrs May didn't just point out that corbyn was resorting to petty name calling, but then most of what goes on in the "house" seems to just be a pantomime anyway
