JTaylor91
I don’t have one but have shot one. I liked it and that was a 30” sporter. Shot just as bad with it as I do my Browning.

oscarsdad
An awful lot of new gun for the money. I nearly bought one but went for a used silver pigeon instead...just feel a lot better quality in the hand. Anyone who says the ATA is a cheap Beretta - ignore them. They are a copy but they are different mechanically and materially.
Lloyd90
Those I know who have bought them say they are brilliant, much like the old Escort semi auto. I have handled them in person next to my Beretta silver pigeon and to me the ATA felt like a cheap rip off (to be fair, I believe that it is). The wood seemed like it was laminated and the engraving seemed really overdone. Like a cheaper gun trying to be something that it’s not. Severally of the people who I know that owner them have since sold them on (although raved how great they were when they first got them 🤷♂️). For my money I would buy a second hand Silver pigeon, Miroku or Browning. Also the RFD that I know told me he has them in because he needs a gun to sell to people who walk in and say their budget is £5-600. But if he was shopping himself he would do as I say and buy a second hand silver pigeon, Miroku or browning.
sabel25
One of the blokes i shoot with bought one second hand. On one driven day the barrels swelled out where the chokes are. We asked him not to use it anymore' He later took it to the gunshop where he bought it and they wiped their hands of it and offered nothing. He took it home and sawed the ends off and still shoots it. Not for me. Buy something tried and tested
alan123shooting
Yes I have had one for two years it’s never missed a beat, I have a 30 inch side plate, handles really well, I could never get on with Beretta, however this is personal taste, but go have a look see what you think, in the end it’s down to you

Maybe this is why true Berreta men think the new Berreta's are not as good as the older models when they were made in Italy?
eddoakley
Sold loads of them. N9t a single complaint. Don't have the feel of a Beretta but don't have the price tag either. Tried a few in different models and couldn't fault them. I keep them in stock whenever possible as they are very good at the price range. There is a member on here asked if they could be supplied bare wood and you oiled it your self . Here is a peace of my wives gun I cut it , for it to fit here it is un oiled

Had mine since 2018, bought as a first Shotgun, having ignored the 'spend your money on a Second hand Silver Pigoen' advice. Mostly because, at the time any second hand silver pigs were at least £300 more, and that buys quite a few lessons/clays/carts. 2.5 years later, I still like it. Still don't covet a nicer o/u. I did covet a nicer semi auto, and I've scratched that itch instead. 2 things I'd say 1) ATAs are now coming up second hand, I've seen them advertised for £450. 2) Get the adjustable stock version

Rewulf
Had mine 3 years now, and if I needed to , Id buy another. Shoulders well , reliable, does what its supposed to do , and does it well. I really dont understand this 'Its not as good as a Silver Pig' thing ? For one theyre a 3rd of the price. Two, they dont look or feel like a Berretta , they arent advertised, or supposed to be, personally I prefer the fat chunky fore end of the ATA. Lastly , you arent so terrified of bumping or scuffing a £600 gun over a £1800 gun, to me the gun is a tool , not an ornament to be admired. Others might feel differently , but if you want a solid performer with a great warranty should you need it, there isnt really a lot out there in this price point. craig1982
I have the Bronze sporter. Bought it mint secondhand for £450 it does what it needs to do with no fuss. Shot 60 crows last week in a 4 hour session. Not sure how a more expensive gun could have done any better.

They never made parts for beretta, the connection is stoegor who beretta own. And stoegor has been plagued by barrel issues I have an ata as a backup gun, Doesn't get shot a whole lot, It shoots ok and handles reasonably enough- nose heavy, If you plan on doing high volume shooting i would say go a used miroku , 680 etc Ata fills a gap in the market well, but they are built to a budget and side by side with a miroku etc the quality gap is decent. They are an ok gun for the money, and if only shooting 1000 or so a year they are a good option for people who need a new gun big warranty, but take them for what they are a budget built gun, if it fits you and you like it buy it. But older quality over new with warranty is sound advice
