DannyS
What high lace boots are everybody using these days? I'm with meindl still but fancy a change - particularly after seeing some Brandecosse boots. Anybody got any experience with them? Seen a fair few dedito boots now too, anyone put some hours into them?

aldivalloch
As above. Mine are quite a few years old, have walked hundreds of miles, been soaked in fresh water and sea water, caked in mud, frozen solid - and are good for the same again. All they've needed is reqular applications of good old-fashioned dubbin.

I know of two who have them; they do a lot of stalking and rate them highly. Also two mates have the Dedito and rate them also. A lot of it’s down to personal preference really, but I really like the look of the Ecosse.
archi
Dedito comfy straight out of the box They do come up small so you need to up 1/2 size at least had harkila before and where good but inside of heel area worn and became uncomfortable but did do many years danner before them, insulated and where really good but left them in storage for a while and they hardened up and just couldn’t get in with them after that

Yeah I read an article in the shooting times on boots and as soon as I saw the brandecosse ones I got a funny feeling in my downstairs area. Like the sound of dedito as supposedly they're pretty light which would be good as I want to wear them all year round - fed up with dealer boots and rolled ankles! Apparently brandecosse customer service is second to none Sam may have a call round.

Lol, bought mine around 25 years ago too, still going strong. Never been resoled but to be fair if its very wet I now sometimes wear neoprene dirt boots as they come up to my knees. Can't imagine what life without my danners would have been like. Only boots I've ever been able to wear with or without socks and in all weathers/temperatures. rimfire4969
I have been using Meindl Extremes for a while and love them. But in a sale i got some Hanwag Tatra long boots and they are very good as well. I started to wear the Hanwags more than my Meindls by the end of the season. https://www.williampowell.com/footwear/mens-footwear/mens-boots/hanwag-tatra-top-gore-tex-boots---brown_mbo112-br?gclid=Cj0KCQjwna2FBhDPARIsACAEc_U9czANuP_Y_xyLzPzzcOc2vo4rEvil3IL3A1s0mE_****QVP0E8TwaAgVCEALw_wcB

Absolutely love them for serious hill work with the dogs. Teamed up with gaiters they are unbeatable. Go for it!
yorkshire graeme
I’ve got some hanwag trapper gtx and I have to say they are incredibly comfy, Lakeland hill walking, shooting and picking up and general dog walking. Superb for the money
