When I started watching it I was only 11 years old and my dad was 40. im now 40 and my sons 13,๐๐๐.ย Itโs also made me realise itโs the equivalent to watching the 80/90s on tv for me now .ย ย I used to watch it thinking it was such a long time ago ๐๐๐. I thought my dad was oldย Edited August 2, 2022 by team tractor

snow white
Watching it now takes me back to my teenage years back in the late fifties early sixtiesย

Dougy
Nick Berry, and the fit barmaid, and brill sound track.ย Had a couple in the Aidensfield Arms (Goathland Hotel) a few years, had a good laugh walking through Goathland, a couple started to complain about the amount of dog truffles on the paths and grass, seriously thought that lamb parcels were doggy doo doo.ย

oldypigeonpopper
Hello, that takes me back and the music is great, another favourite was Ballykissangel , even had a pint of Guinness in the pub, filmed around Avoca if I remember, I took a coach party of walkers for a long weekend there, a few had sore heads every morning๐ค๐ Edited August 2, 2022 by oldypigeonpopper
London Best
I worked with a guy who genuinely thought Heartbeat was real! He visited Goathland and knocked on the door of Greengrassโ cottage and was very disappointed to find he didnโt live there.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, I think many of us would like to go back to the years many a good TV series started like heartbeat, maybe not as far back as Dixon of Dock green , I must admit to watching a few more oldies , what we call the good old days in England,ย
bottletopbill
Those were the best days for shooting as it was accepted. Now it is not acceptable to many do gooders who do not under stand shooting at all.ย
Agriv8
Spent a bit of time with the film crew as my mate was assistant locations manager!ย ย they all seemed to spend a lot of time up there in the pub until they built the internals at an industrial unit in Leeds ! yes it was a long time ago ! Stephen-H
Itv 3 most nights if anyone wants to walk down memory lane can't beat a ford anglia screaming through a yorkshire grouse Moor chasing a man with a stocking on his head & sawn offย
yates
Ironically I was only thinking about about this program yesterday and then I see this post, spooky!! This was compulsive viewing in our house back in the day. I got told off when visiting goathland for having a fag next to the petrol pump. I thought it was a prop from the show and did not realise it was a genuine working petrol garage
