we all know what goes on but as ten tier says nothing to see hear when it is the off white people commiting crimes.how can it be that the clowns in charge think it is ok to treat its own tax payers this way.wish we could just sack the lot of them and start again with people who would stand up for the common white man who they would represent.

The  carnival is seen as legitimised lawlessness. Like the purge but set to steel bands.

A few years back I bought a convertible off a bloke who lived near to the route - when checking the service history I asked why his car had 2 new roofs in 2 years. He then explained that every carnival someone would slash the roof and try and steal the car / cleaned out the contents. He said they made sure to go away now every year. He also mentioned that the whole place became a public toilet as a million people all seemingly going in the street.

I can’t believe that some people can’t get behind such a culturally important event or call it’s merits into question  😆

Look at Appleby Horse fair as a comparison,  every year they turn up and take over, I've no doubt there is trouble, but if it was on the same scale of police assaulted and stabbings I'm sure it would be stopped pretty quickly.

My friend had a shop in Goldbourne Road on the northern edge of the Carnival. He used to have to board his shop door up and seal it with mastic because so many people would use his shop doorway as a toilet.

The day after the carnival all you could see, hear and smell was the owners of houses and shops out with pressure washers and Jayes Fluid trying to clear up the human filth

reported that there are 7000 cops assigned to this "event"......and the mess will be monumental...........

cast your memory back to the countryside march in London a few years ago ...483000 people attended..in the parks in London

about a dozen cops looked after us and a few hundred stayed at the end picking bits of paper up and any rubbish................:hmm:

Lets hope the organisers have to pay for the police attention - just like us.

“Notting Hill Carnival ‘seen as opportunity to commit crime’, admits Met Police”

So why are there not the same problems at Glastonbury festival, is there no opportunity to commit crime there?

So that's 12 mill to lay on a crime spree where vandalism, breaking glass or screams would not be heard above the high level of noise - and that's not including cleaning up after the mess they left behind.

Sounds like an open invitation to back passages to have a nice day at ratepayers expense. I hope it rains on their parade.

That's the difference between decent people , and filthy scruffs that care for nobody but themselves.

I'm sure there is, it's just a whole different audience and the "culture" they bring.

So that's. For each officer  £883.70.

Yes. I worked it out to that too.

Now the Met Police salary for a Sergeant is just a tad short of £60,000.

So £5,000 a month, or £1,250 a week.

Yet the cost here works out at £883.70.

Notting hill carnival.....is not a place to go if you value your health...........you lot are all bangin on about black and white and arrests and nayghty people...............

whats is even worse than that were the number of food poisoning cases there were/are........that left people puking up and squirting liquid diarrohea in the pants..........there is no control over the vendors of street food

they are just "pop-up"......poop out stalls...........people who live there board their houses up and leave town and then when it is all over the come back and decontaminate their front gardens of liquid faeces and sick

the carnival is for animals.........(in fact animals are a lot cleaner)..............the carnival needs to be moved to a suitable site

This ^^^

There are dozens of unlicensed food sellers but more worrying others are selling home made booze of many different types.

I can't imagine another time or place where you would get away with that.

As the day draws into the evening the mood changes from very light hearted to heavy and quite frightening

Still the problem of people relieving themselves in inappropriate places.

There are a lot of drugs being sold at Glastonbury and arrests. You are very unlikely to get mugged though.

I don't think even a small percentage if the crimes and assaults committed at Notting Hill ever get reported. The true figure is probably much higher.
