Vince Green Posted Monday at 15:05 Report Share Posted Monday at 15:05 (edited) Very hard to prove especially as there will be no hard documentary evidence in many cases. Bigamy is illegal but many men arrive here with more than one wife. Others take another wife when they are here but nothing is done about it. In both cases they have the "get out of jail card" that it's part of their culture or religion and that seems to grant immunity Who is going to enforce it? The police won't want to get involved Edited Monday at 15:08 by Vince Green

Easy to ignore as it will be? Compulsory dna tests results to the database for everyone, under the cover of something else?

A lot of the Norfolk folk must have started off with a Scandinavion accent when the Vikings first arrived on our shores , we also had a large Roman camp near me so they could be included in the local population , then in more recent times we had a big influx of ( yanks ) come and help the U K out during the second world war , several stayed here and drawer'd the local female population like steel to a magnet so where we originated from is any ones guess , my ole chap was in the R N for a good number of years and spent a lot of time overseas , thankfully I wasn't the only coloured youngster in my village or the only one who talked with an american accent , mind you I did have blonde air

Old Boggy Posted Tuesday at 06:17 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 06:17 At one time the only inhabitants of Dungeness consisted of families with either the name ‘Oiler’ or ‘Tart’, so interbreeding must have been rife. I do remember a lady being interviewed on TV saying that “I used to be an Oiler, but now I’m married I’ve become a Tart” Similar interbreeding happened on the Isle of Grain with the name ‘Broomfield’. Not just a Norfolk thing, happens/happened in Kent too.
Robden Posted Tuesday at 06:27 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 06:27 Expect a visit from the Woke police. If on any day you can decide to be a male, female, dog, cat or whatever, surely a first or second cousin, is naff all.

I think it must have happened in all rural communities

Swiftly followed by the motorbike and car. If you could only marry those within walking distance, interbreeding would be inevitable. That's the Norfolk problem, no motorways! We lived in a Cornish village for 2 1/2 years. You could recognise one from a distance.
