Soon moved onto a 1400cc Mk4 Ford Escort Reg E361 GPV, wrote that off and bought a cheap Mk3 Escort reg B466 SCG. Ford Popular in black (all cars seem to be black back then) for me too. 3 gears, flag indicators as above. Next was an Isetta bubble car, single cylinder BMW engine. Bought for £18. Worth a fortune now.Only wished I'd kept it. Not exactly a bird puller but the bench seat came in handy !! Then a Mini Traveller with wooden framing. Great little car, bought for £65. I ran a cyclist over and claimed £100 in damages for negligence (student access to legal aid). Sold it for £75. About the only car I have made money on.
