shootgun
I was promised a pay raise starting with september, and my boss is telling me he have an offer which i cannot refuse... He said, instead of the pay raise, he will pay me a full membership to the gym, with personal trainer... I don't know how to take this really... i never said i would like to go to gym, and the personal trainer won't pay my bills ... What do you guys think? yates
If you take the gym membership what will he offer next year? Ask for the money ps the offer doesn't include you naked being massaged by the 'personal trainer' as your boss looks on by any chance? Dougy
Tel the tight **** to stop being a door handle and sort out the £pay rise. Sounds like he's got that deal as a back hander and by offering it to you he's saving a packet.
Mungler
Day 1, I'd go back and start stealing some stationary, then clean out the bog roll and tea bags. Then perhaps grab a few cheeky fire extinguishers on the way to the car park. Day 2, start looking to fence the photocopier. The time for talking is over. I'm suspecting this too, as both him and his brother they've got membership at the same gym he was offering me...

Gordon R
He is trying to tell you what you should spend your money on. His arrogance is breath-taking. Depends how well you get on with him. Personally, I would be asking him why he thought this was a reasonable alternative to you getting more money and spending it on what you, not he, wanted. activeviii
First he will get tax deductions as an employee perk and then you will have to pay Tax on it as a perk. Was it a pay rise, tax avoidance or a pay cut. Go figure, Tell him that its a very kind offer but you cant pay your mortgage with a gym membership. what you do in your free time is your business.
