Trevorevans
The living -: Neil Peart, Phil Collins, Steve ferrone, John Bradbury, Carl Palmer. The deceased -: Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Keith Moon, Joe morello.
Fatcatsplat
Too many different styles and reasons out there. Copeland and Peart for sticking a fill in any gap they can see, Dave Lombardo for aggressive precision and power, Phit Taylor for breaking lots of new ground, Ian Paice for drum solos that don't send you to sleep and Gene Krupa 'cos he knocked Buddy Rich into a cocked hat!! Oh and me when I've had a few!

Gordon R
A mate loaned me the documentary - Beware of Mr Baker - a couple of weeks ago. It gives an insight as to where Ginger Baker was rated by the very best and his scathing dismissal of Keith Moon and John Bonham - both of whom I rate. Greymaster
Copeland is a good drummer, Dave grohl is a good drummer in fact there are lots of good drummers, but only 2 can be considered GREAT John Bonham and Keith Moon. End of discussion. Agreed, though Kenny Jones had his moments.

welsh1
Mr Copeland Mr Rich And of course Mr Moon And my Son who drove me insane at the start, but as he got better and moved his drums to the garage,he sounds great through the garage door(he does actually sound good) There are many other great drummers, and i suppose it is down to personal preference at the end of the day, sometimes the technically perfect drummer may not sound as good as the drummer who "feels" the music and beat.
